@HarryPotterAndCo Actually Cavies sleep mostly during the night in small nap cycles with very few in the day unless they are bored, which with a cage that size will be often, imagine being stuck in your bedroom with just your bed in it for your whole life not fun. Try switching out some different play items such as toilet paper rolls that are clean from any paper or glue to even a newspaper tent, but be careful of the newspaper as some inks in the paper are bad for Cavies.

A friendly suggestion (if you don't do this already): let Zach run around a closed secure room for a little bit! or, make a playard if you don't want to risk your guinea pig relieving himself on your carpet. Also, Zach would probably appreciate more bedding :)

get your guinea pig a cage not a box! poor thing has no room. he has too much energy and can't let it all out as he has no where to run really. sadly your guinea pig is only pop corning due to pent up energy not happiness. And there is nothing wrong with using sawdust so ignore huiren92. i have had many guineapigs for 12 years now and sawdust has done nothing to them all my guineapigs have lived to be 6 to 7.
@iloveguineas1 From the background sounds, I think she might be taking it somewhere. Almost sounds like an airport or they are at the vets by a road. I've never heard a house sound so noisy even in the city.
he's cute but I still wouldnt trade mine for the world ^_^ He's got human hair. and I've been to several pet stores trying to get mine a woman with the same hair but I cant find any all they got is the really thick wire like hair : / <3 plus mine has a cute face ^_^ this one does too :) i like the brown on his eyes, its cute... And his house is FINE just let him runaround your room :) I do with mine and he LOVES me to chase him :P lol and if i stop he cry's untill i play with him agian :D

That container -- or cage you're using for your guinea pig is way too small. It doesn't seem that your guinea pig is getting proper ventilation at all. Each guinea pig should have 7.5 square feet of space to run around in... and this cage is way too small for that. I would suggest buying a medium C&C Cage from Sue on Ebay and get your guinea pig a friend, as they are social animals. Also, you shouldn't feed your guinea pig potatoes.

Adorable guinea pig but get a C & C cage, google it; they're cheap and easy to build. If building is not for you get one on Ebay ^.^
Your guinea pig will thank you with many more shows of popcorning, gurgling and live longer.

You shouldn't have news paper in a cage for them; it can harm them from the ink :[
Sawdust is bad for any animal, especially one with such sensitive lungs.
Also potato? Not a good idea, you need to read up on how to take care of your animals properly.

Actually most newspaper is safe for guinea pigs. But yeah potato is bad for guinea pigs and sawdust isn't the best.

It's not a potato, potatoes can be poisonous to guinea pigs and should never be fed to them.
