  • I don't understand why the priest sings the Gospel eastward (ie to God) rather than in the midst, or in front of, the people. Christ spoke to us! There are things which belong to God and things he has given to us.

  • @idle44 He is doing it the traditional style. Old Mass has the priest going up to that place in order to preach the homily.

  • I was following along in Latin the Gospel, and apparently the priest either didn't finish it or skipped a big part of it. Is he allowed to do that?

  • @mleonetti1991 I think you are right. The Venacular is much longer than the Latin.

  • Beautiful Mass, I Love Latin Mass Too, I Learned Our Father In Latin, Beautiful Mass, I almost cried! :-)

  • I love Latin mass [singing hymns] Same with Gregorian chants. Shabads of Sikhs, Nasheeds of Islam.

    God is one!

  • Go on the sspx website and it will tell you where the holy mass centres are.

    in Jesus, Mary and Joseph

  • This is all so wonderful! I wish there were more!

  • What I love about the sung TLM is that it never stops. I go to a NO parish now that has a mass ad orientam with Kyrie, Gloria, and Credo. But doing this is a problem in the NO because the mass stops when the choir is singing and it becomes a bit monotonous. But, the TLM keeps plugging along and doesn't wait for the congregation for a response. The mass in this form truly helps people realize that the mass is above all, a long prayer and the greatest prayer the Church has, not a simple gathering.

  • The priest looks like Mr. Bean.

  • So nice to be able to listen to a service in France and have it be no different than the same service heard at good old Annunciation church here in Houston.

  • Yes, we are saved by the Life, Death and Resurrection of Jesus because He is God-made-Man, the only Perfect and pleasing Offering to the Holy Trinity. Yet, that Sacrifice of God Himself needs to be made present and applied to us in space and time if we are to benefit from it and share in God's Divine Life here on earth. The Mass and Sacraments make this possible. They are the extension of Christ's Divine Life, the Perfect Worship, true channels of grace through time to us in His Church on earth.

  • You are saved by Christ. But you have also removed yourself from the ONLY church he founded. Your soul will burn forever in Hell with no chance of survival in Purgatory. There is no salvation outside the Church. How are you saved without the Church's sacraments? Heretic.

  • orthodoxy waiting..........................

  • That's good or bad? =)

  • Very nice

  • Thank God there is a sound Catholic on youtube like you. All other religions are false, they worship false idols and follow empty rituals. The only true church..Holy Catholic and Apostolic, with the vicar of Christ is the only way, as he is Christs high priest! No other faith can you achieve salvation!

  • Yes it is true yoy are saved by Jesus, but you have now distanced yourself form his Church, and the sacaraments given to us by Jesus.

  • ...and the only place where we can physically as well as spiritually obtain it, is in The Catholic Church whom Jesus Himself has assigned to celebrate the Mystery in memory of Him. Up to this day, The Catholic Church is the only Church on earth that held firmly to the belief of Transubstansiation, so the sacrifice that offered in the Catholic Church is the real Body & Blood of Christ which other church can never offer...

    Salam from Malaysia...

  • @willzrc This is not true, in Eastern Orthodoxy and other early churches such as Oriental Orthodoxes (syriac church, coptic church, armenian) holds the same belief. The disagreements are "when" inthe liturgy this mystical transformation occurs, but the belief is the same.

  • @xthia25 Are u an Orthodox? Then u must be our 'separated brethren". Every church that conform its faith with the nicene definition (hence Nicene Creed) is both orthodox and Catholic, weather schismatic or not. Thats y in Trad Latin mass when we pray for the whole catholic believers we never use the term Christian, but rather Orthodoxis(..pls refer to canon missae). So the orthodox churches are also Catholic in term of faith n tradition, the only thing is they are not in full communion wt Rome.

  • Wrong. You have half the picture, the the second half is required for Salvation which you have now placed yourself outside of.

  • @ixchthus You obviously didn't have any knowlege of the Church at the time...

  • @assasincomedy You are right! At the time I wrote this comment I didn't knew what I was saying. I saw a lot more of this Tridentine masses in the last time and now I can really enjoy it.

  • CHRISTUS REX!

  • q hermoso!! amo la misa tridentina!! viva Cristo rey, y viva lefebvre! y el santo papa benedicto XVI.

    gloria in excelsis deo.

  • SSPX or FSSP etc.?

  • It's an SSPX Parish, quite close to the Cathédrale Notre Dame

  • Quand j'entends ça, je retrouve la France.

  • Credo in unum Deum patrem omnipotentem...

Et in Iesucristum filium Dei unigenitum...

Et in spirum sanctum dominum et vivificantem...

Et in unam sanctam catolicam et apostolicam ecclesiam

  • Tridentine mass remains, the best mass.I live in Brazil.

  • May God bless our Holy Father Benedict XVI! At last, after all the chaos brought about by Paul VI and John Paul II, we have a really focussed and Catholic Pope! Call it a restoration if you want! That's what we need! Sebastien Dupratil

  • you dont know what you're talking about and you dont even look at the history of the church. the recent of catholic pope is the successor of st.peter which was elected by christ to guide the church. simple as that.

  • of course not, if the pope change the catholic church like the pass 3 popoes, you cant listen to them, because they are not the head of the church, the head of the church is Christe, and if the pope send something against christe, then we dont have to follow them, like the last 3 ones

  • Of course Jesus Christ is the Head of the Church. But human beings need to hear and see, too -- which is why the Pope is the visible head of the Church while Jesus Christ is its invisible Head.

  • Yes I understand you. but will you follow a Pope that teaches something different that Jesus Christ did?

  • Give us an example of how the 3 previous popes have taught something different from the teaching of Christ or Pope Benedict IV. Thanks

  • Look starting, they change the latin mass, the cannon of the mass(if you are a good catholic you should know what is)is tottally changed for bad. then they said that all the religions were good, wich is very big mistake. and i could wrote an entire book of all this changes that the only have brought bad to the humans.

  • KrOnChoLo, the Latin mass is not infallibly ordained and can be changed at the will of the church. It's CONTENT is infallible (that it is Christ's sacrifice given for us), but the words and form can be changed at will. That's why the Church has many different rites (Mozarabic, Ambrosian etc.).

Nor did they say that all religions are good, only that we should be respectful of them and dialogue with them.

Thus, these two examples of heresy fall flat on their face.

  • No, baldwalrus7, they can changed some things, but they transform the latin mass, let me give you some examples so you can understand me. First the Cannon or consagration, they changed all the words, when you are celebrating a mass, the priest has to talk in present, not in pass like the new mass, if your a catholic you will understand. And the worst is the moral they teach, they dont even kneel when they are reciving the holy communion. The Tridentine Latin Mass, is the only one, like it or not

  • Why is kneeling so integral to the mass that abandoning it destroys the mass? Would you also clarify your statement: "First the Cannon or consagration, they changed all the words, when you are celebrating a mass, the priest has to talk in present, not in pass like the new mass".

  • armenterosma, please ignore sm720n's comments. you know this kind of people will never seek the truth and all they know is bible

  • Beautiful mass...in nominae patris, et fili et spiritu sancti. Amen.

  • @AFP785 it's 'nomine' and not 'nominae' (plural) because there is only 1 God :)

  • What does that have to do with this?

  • The only connection I can see is that it would partially explain why some have had bad experiences with the Traditional Mass before Vatican II. If you want to destroy the Church, destroy Her Worship.

  • No, actually, the connection is that the Catholic Church was infiltrated by communists (aided by Bella Dodd), and ever since the 40s approximately, true traditional Catholics have had a bad experience with the new protestantised church. Thank God for the Latin Mass and for Pope Benedict XVI who wants to bring it back.

  • Bella Dodd's book can be downloaded from the internet. I don't remember the web address, but you can find it by simply entering her name in your favorite search engine.

  • very good

  • Deo Gratias
