Not again" With MLK having just been killed and the Vietnam war going on, it seemed like the world was going down the toilet.

@altfactor It would have not made a difference even by today's EMS standards . The ambulances that L.A. had back then (made famous in earlier Adam-12 episodes) that belonged to the city health department were not manned by paramedics and carried a minimum amount of equipment . Just a gurney , a bandage bag , oxygen tank & masks , a resusitator , and a few splints . If RFK was treated then by paramedics , he would have been alive for a couple of days longer .

He should have quickly reacted and dispatched the call as a " Code 2 unknown trouble" . When he recieved the second call , he should have reassured the switchboard operator that officers were allready on the way then updated it to an emergency requiring a Code 3 response . This happened several years before LA even had 911 service . I used to be a dispatcher .

Another guy walks in maybe 15 min. later and repeatedly threatens the guy I knew. I called 911 and got bs, so said I'ld handle the matter. The 911 guy laughed and I disconnected.

The bozo was then threatened me, so I said that I'ld put him on his head, and he still thought he could be intimidating; but it didn't last very long and there was no physical fight. It wasn't necessary and I avoid unnecessary force.
It was the only time in my life that I've dialed 911 and I only got bs from the other end. And this wasn't in a large city. It was in Lennoxville, Quebec, Canada. Great police service, heh?

But as to whether sending an ambulance sooner would have made a difference, we'll never know. But given RFK's injuries, it might not have.

Wrong. The bullet hit him behind the right ear above the ear canal. It tore through his brain, severing an artery, blood leaking into the cranium. His brain began to swell, creating pressure, which could have been fatal. Dr Abo rendered aid, located the hole, but it was not bleeding. He stuck his finger in to flush the clot, and it began to bleed again. He was alive when taken to Good Samaritan Hospital, where he was treated, eventually died. The amazing thing is that he lived as long as he did.

I read that the autopsy showed he was shot at point blank range less than one inch from the back of his right ear, and that Sirhan Sirhan never got closer than six feet so he obviously wasn't the one that did the killing. Then, they found several more bullet holes in the wall than his gun could hold. Then last year they found an audio recording that has the sound of 12 gunshots on it. The CIA thinks we're all stupid.

I don't think it was a 911 operator... I think it was an LAPD police dispatcher that took the call for help. Most probably a lazy sgt. who was miserable with his career-and life for that matter. The most standard definitions for being a Jew are: one's mother was a Jew or one has undergone the formal process of conversion to Judaism. This is simply amazing footage. There's no excuse for the cop saying "Big deal."That's beyond arrorance. Kennedy should have been a high priority security matter. But the copy probably DID need to know WHY the police were being summoned to the hotel. Could have been for any number of reasons. You can't respond effectively if you don't know the reason. I can't blame the operator. She's in shock and her stunned reaction only shows how people react when a tragedy unfolds in front of them.

i've watched all three of the parts and the most interesting thing of the film is the people who step up to the mic at 3:25, you can see it in there eyes they know whats happened, how its happened and why its happened at one point the guy talking produces an involuntary smile at 3:13.
