D-Miles is a poster child for the kind of NBA player that has oodles of talent but very little discipline and work ethic. When he came to Portland they rolled the red carpet out for him. They gave him a big contract. He was to be their franchise player. He spit all of that goodwill back in the Blazers' faces with a few seasons of legal problems, off court distractions, and mediocre play. Kinda explains why Portland and their fans dont like the guy very much.

Darius was already know to have issues and had already been on 2 teams in 4 years when the blazers signed him. its their own dumbass fault for investing so much in a questionable player. Then they tried to declare him unfit for basketball so they wouldn't have to pay for their mistake, but it backfired. And I would say the environment of the early 2000's blazers made any player into a trouble maker.
