I think that Madden have been working so hard into the Gameplay mechanics, they forgot about what we really see on sundays: the broadcast with stats and information in an unique way that only the USA has. They should really focus a little bit more in the broadcast and presentation and in the depth of their game modes. The gameplay still miss few tweaks, but the main gameplay progress is done.
I have REFUSED to buy NFL games ever since ESPN2K5 was railroaded by EA's exclusive deal. Those BASTARDS at EA can do what 2K sports did back in 95 with the real sports center presentation if they wanted to. They just know there's no competition out there so every year they don't do shit to improve as much as they know they can.
Good Video.... You let all the cut scenes play out... Thanks. I agree with you, when 2K Sports make their NFL game it will be the BEST FOOTBALL VIDEO GAME EVER MADE....They will put everything in it...Time is running out on EA Sports !!
@MOST550 Thanks MOST550. Yea, EA is running out of time!..lol It's time for some drastic changes cause this football game is getting real old and stale. Maybe next year they get their act together!
@33lbb I'll see if I can get the game again. It was a friend of mine that works at one of those game stores and got the game early and he let me play with it for a day.
Yeah, Madden does look pretty much the same as last year, and it really hasn't changed dramatically over the past 5 years or so. When does EA's exclusive deal with the NFL expire, and is it realistic to believe that 2K Sports will be able to out bid EA for the rights?
Until then, I guess NFL gaming fans will just continue to buy Madden ever year; I suppose playing an NFL video game with recurring glitches and gameplay issues is better than playing no NFL video game at all.
@amatrex I know what you mean, people will still buy the game cause there is no other competition out there for an NFL video game. Me, I haven't purchased a Madden game since I got burned with Madden 06! What a piece of crap that was!!.lol I'm hoping the NFL lets other game companies do NFL football games like in the past.. ESPN 2K5 was the best!, but it is old now. However, it still looks good for it's age!
Actually, statistics show that ever since 06, EA/Tiburon has been losing money year after year. There are true Madden heads who are upset over dumb shit they do there and buying the competition, they decide not to buy Madden. There still are people like that, don't get shit twisted. I suggest everyone does the same. NCAA got it right, some reason Madden guys seem lazy, reusing the same damn shit in their game and only doing stuff for online. FUCK ONLINE
@heat4yoaso There's no way EA is losing money by producing this game that doesn't even make sense. They might be making less money than they did in previous years, but they're still making money, which is the only goal they have.
Are you kidding me dude? Don't get it twisted, just because they are making money it doesn't mean they're making money. They have to pay for overhead cost, utilities, employees which round somewhere to the tune of 6000 with many on salary. Keep in mind they also cut about 1600 employees. Kind of tells you something huh? Also the contract they pay for year after year to the NFL. THEY ARE LOSING MONEY.
@heat4yoass No, I'm not "kidding you dude", if you think the gaming community just halted EA Tiburon's sales you're beyond stupid. Any loss in money they may have sustained has about 10% to do with the quality of their games, and 90% to do with the fact we're in the middle of a recession. If they didn't think the venture was profitable, they wouldn't do it, that's how business works.
@heat4yoass Also, just because the whole company is losing money doesn't mean Madden is losing money. Sales from Madden have fallen SLIGHTLY over the past couple of years, and that's still a profit because the game costs next to nothing to produce year to year because they add minimal changes and apply minimal time and effort to it. EA cutback jobs this year, and cut their releases for the year in half. They're still releasing Madden. Kind of tells you something huh? Madden = Money.
@heat4yoass And don't get it twisted. For every "hardcore Madden head" who go's and buys the competition, there's 500 11 Year Old's who are buying Madden.
im all for presentation but this view is pretty hard for me to play with
