Mossy Stone Bricks actually can be crafted from a glitch with the stone stairs based on the direction its placed as in North, South, East, and West. All you have to do break it and ul get either a cracked, mossy, or regular. U'll have to expirrement with it to find out what directions produce what again =) hope that helps ^^

Hey monkeyfarm. How did u now how many endermen were in ur trap with f3. I used to look at the mob id on the screen but they got rid of it in 1.8. :)

@12dbros f3 still shows the number of 'entities', which includes mobs. fyi if you have other things like mob drops, those will show up in the entity number as well.

Very nice, I've found a design that uses pistons to push them down the chute, and is extremely effective about 10 endermen/minuite :D

In your endermen spawner trap, you should move your lava down a few blocks, so when the piston crusher is on, it will kill the endermen above alot faster, it could be similar to an off setting.

@CirkutGaming the lava was placed higher because enderment accumulate above the crusher when it's open. if lava were there...

@arkindal unless you look at them, the don't have a reason to teleport from the island to my spawner. in the spawner area, they only spawn in the trap because i used slabs everywhere else.

@monkeyfarm Oh, I thought endermen could teleport just randomly, they do if water, which hurt them, touch them so my wild guess was that they could do that with lava too.

you could take out the lava and put a stone pressure plate at the bottom so when they hit the ground they take major damage then the pressure plate powers the piston to finish him off

Pretty sure you can make mossy stone bricks, cracked stone bricks and mossy stone brick stairs by placing stone brick stairs and breaking them with a pickaxe. Or at least that worked in 1.8 :/

@mickyboondock good question. they're dropping 3 blocks (if they spawn on an upper leve). normal mobs get damage, but theyre only 2 blocks high. i havent tested if endermen get damage dropping 3 blocks or not.

ive asked this questin a few times and i always get a different answer. Ive been playing the same old Minecraft level for months. to get the new updates such as the new neather stuff do i need to start a new game or just explore a new area? Anyone know? All im basically trying to do it find a neather fortress and complete the game

@topcat4eva yes, you can simply explore a new area that has not previously loaded, and the new terrain/features will load.

Ive ran around for ages to make more of the neather generate and found nothing. (It also doesnt help that i have to play with the render distance on 'short' as i play minecraft on a fairly basic laptop) If i delete my old portals and build a new 1 would it create a new neather? Maybe that would help me find a fortress

@topcat4eva deleting old portals doesnt change the nether chunks that have already been generated. you either need to travel really far to find new area in the nether... Or use MC Edit to delete your existing nether chunks (if you don't have anything built there that you need to save). That would generate al lthe new strongholds in the nether nearby.

if you put a lava bomck on there head (three high) and put a sing under that then they stay in the lava and die and you can still collect the ender pearls =)

@jeglider since you are in The End, the only mobs that will spawn are endermen. If you were to do the same mob grinder in the "regular" world, it would spawn all kinds of mobs.

I think you can create mossy stone. If you make stairs, place them in 4 directions. 2 directions will break in stairs, 1 in mossy stone, and 1 in 'broken' stone.

@markidoks I think endermen teleport away from water. If you had water instead of the piston crusher, the endermen would fall down the mob trap, touch the water, teleport back up into the spawner, walk around for a while, fall back into the mob trap, etc etc etc.
