  • Wow! Good to see so many positive comments to this song. Just a little correction, The lead singers name is Arnold Davis (my dad) not Johnson. Also, the group had a mini reunion in Amityville this past weekend. There a chance they may do a revival in the near future! Curious to know larrybndc's real name. I haven't been to Amityville since 86 but we probably crossed paths as kids. My mom was good friends with Lillian???

  • @fmgroup100 please say hello to your dad for me I was in a group called the Imaginations and lived in Wantagh we use to see your dad at the wantagh bowling alley and me and bobby bloom use to go to some of the rehearsals in amityville

  • @fmgroup100 you are rightfully very proud of your dad, stunning voice and a all time classic

  • This group came from my hometown of Amityville, NY. Ollie Johnson, Peppy DuBois (brother of Jane't Dubois - Willona from "Good Times") Junior Love, who every one called "Slick", Arnold Johnson and Jimmie Johnson and Mike Furr who weren't in the group at the same time. I used to watch their rehearsals when I was 7-8 years old because they practiced in our basement and on the patio... at the time, Jeanette (birth name) was my step-mom.

  • Turbo charged dancer! ktf

  • Fantastic track recorded on Roulette records & a true Northern Soul classic

  • Initially exposed via UK Pye acetates posted to the top Northern DJs by Dave McAlleer. US Roulette copies weren't being played back then, it was UK Pye who initially promoted the record in the North.
