If I were you I'd remove the foil and duct tape and just set it in a container that will be able to hold the excess water. Make sure you don't over water it till the point of over saturation and it's spilling out like crazy into the container.

Be sure not to over water. every couple days give it water. The soil should be starting to dry but not a desert. best for u to have a small saucer underit where the water can settle. Having foil around it as u do, I found people tend to over water (keeping the water up to the top of the foil. This causes the roots to always be in water. roots will rot if that happens. That's my thoughts lets see if anyone else says different. if nothing else "Google It" :) Glad things are going well there.

I named my plant when I was 13, It's named "Mr. Mango"....the plant that likes to tango. the embarrassing name gives me the opportunity to point out that I've been able to keep a plant alive for three years :D Also, does your accordion have a name? my oboe is named Oberon, after the fairy king.
