Confessions: Animal Hoarding- Trying to Adopt

You know, we're conditioned to view more than a certain number of cats in one household as "bad": They're automatically unable to be cared for adequately, and are obviously suffering. Well look! They don't show us her whole house. They don't say whether anyone other than those two are helping to care for the cats. They don't mention where these cats are coming from. These cats somehow don't seem to fit the cliche of dirty, flea-ridden, etc. I'm sad that the lady has to give em up, they look fine

It's impossible to give every cat as much attention as the other cats - they would be better off in a family that can give them more attention. Besides, how do you pay food, cat litter and medical care for all those cats? They really need other owners. These people have good intentions, but it takes more than good intentions alone to be a good owner.

Your statement is oversimple and presumptuous... not everyone has $ issues, and for things like animal care ancillary materials? C'mon. Also, Alpo and Fancy Feast are not the only forms of matter that animals can subside on healthily. Your claim that they need other owners is stupid, redundant and rude... do you imply they are bad owners? Whats the cow limit?

I think they aren't able to give all those cats as many attention as the others - it's only common sense, you know. Besides, look at how many cats they have! My aunt 'only' has six of them and she called an animal psychologist because of their behaviour towards each other. And what did the psychologist say? "You have too many cats". Surpise, surprise...

There are just too many cats in general!!! You save one and than there's ten more if not a hundred more that need homes!! The problem is ppl dont get their cats fixed w the excue oh i have no money or its too much hassle!! If it cost you too much to get that cat fixed than you shouldn't take the cat in!! And you can save you one but your if your bring 7 more kitten in the world than what favor are you really doing?

So she's trying to find them a home? All those cats look perfectly healthy! Her house doesn't even look dirty from what they showed. She's just trying to find them a home! The Shelter should be helping her!

well, she means well i guess, it is hard to put animals away to shelters when we all know that there are many animals that have to be put down, specially if they get sick. there is lack of education in people of how to treat an animal. some people like this ones have the good intentions, they seem to love the cats, they just don't have enough support to take care of them. Animals are good companions but they also need us to understand their needs. we need to educate our self to let them be.

@Farstar11 PPl need to be educated and sorry to say but w their being that many cats out there shelters should just start putting cats down if they dont get adopted within a month! There are way too many cats and their not happy being locked in a cage, and ppl hoarding them isn't the answer either. THere are not enough homes for all the cats! And if shelter did put them down in a smaller time frame ppl more ppl would adopt and ppl would think twice about not gettin their cats fixed!!

I saw this one. Those cats were in declining health and she was acting as a shelter but she wasn't going out of her way finding homes so the numbers kept growing. Shelters don't try and keep every animal.
