it's for control... the reason being that it's the most adjustable(than really any kick pedal) and it's direct drive... this means there is no chain lag, and you have complete control of when it starts and stops- not relying on the momentum you get from chain drive... the reason people have problems controlling axis is simply because they arent used to direct drive, which is really weird to get used to! other than that - axis e kits are 100% worth going axis just for the simplicity
