Just got the game today, used Demian Maia vs Drew mcfederies. Best sub offense vs worst sub defense, got him to absolutley to stamina and i had full stamina, went for sub and rotated that R3 like a mother fucker and i couldn't submit him, what the fuck am i doing wrong? Also, Demian Maia has the best submission rating on the game, better than Royce Gracie. Pain in the ass and embarrasing not being able to submit possibly the worst fighter on the game.

I can't believe people still aren't smart enough to figure out how the shine system works. It's all about the stamina bar. Don't go for a sub unless your opponent is low on stamina. That simple. People need to stop bitching and learn how to use it correctly.

@Vinnymanvinny It's reaqlly not hard to figure out how to get people tired on the ground. When you block transitions, they get tired. The more tired they are, the easier it is to sub them. It's not a difficult concept.

that holds the controler should go up and down and slightly left to right.. do it where it feels comfortable.. so if your not breathing then your doing it wrong lol. I can get out of any submission with less that 25% stamina everytime. I subing people has because too easy, i usually dont sub people anymore cuz of this fact. Oh yes get the back for a choke its a great way to win most of the time.

I had to replace a controller because i put everything into it... Now i have my nice blue one and i dont put any forced at all on the sides. I practiced over and over again doing it real slow untill it was comfortable. The way i explain it is that you have to have like TRex arms. Your elbows should be tight against your side. Having the controler close to your chest, have your right hand on the joystick with the top of your palm or (bottom of knuckles) moving it left to right, and the hand ..

I like the idea that you included the actual shot of your rotation speed, but the frame rate is total crap so you can't actually tell. "Not too fast and not too slow" is a relative statement that doesn't help either. I wish there was an ingame practice mode that turned green or red based on how accurate your shine is, like in Fight Night round 3 for inbetween round healing. Thank for sharing tho.

Does it also depend on which way you rotate the stick, i heard if you rotate it in a direction while the opponent online rotates it an oppoisite direction from you while you are performing the submission it is much more likely you can get them into your submission.

On the in-game tutorial it say to "Charge" your submission and not to over charge it. What the hell does that mean? I tried to do it the way I thought they said but still no luck. Good tutorials btw I'm going to try your way.

@PcxIce no its not its how smart you fight/how much energy you expend and if you time the sub right you can pull it off against a cpu or online opponent with high stamina. They made its hard for the average person to master by not making the tutorial extensive enough to learn exactly how to go about it, it comes from experience. Online I cant knock a guy out for the life of me but I can submit a guy in the first couple mins.

Rotating doesn't work there another method. You can do the Charge method but it only works with high submission fighters. To do this press R3 to charge, the charge will gather your strength. Don't charge for too long, releasing the charge makes one strong attempt at finishing your opponent. Be sure to make that the opponent is very fatigued for easier execution.

Make sure your stamina bar is always filled green when you are on the ground. Don't strike or transition too often without taking a short "break", because you will be out of breath and you be easy to submit. Don't rotate the stick too fast; just make sure you roll the stick against the edges, that's more important than the speed.

Most of the time the opponent escapes from submission having no stamina left, why? I'm rotating the RS clock-wise fluently and fast, and my stamina doesn't even depletes completely! Why is that?

@Atiel88 i think when u do a submission u have to "hold the RS still" (dont move it at all) till the right timing. which is when the opponents energie level comes nearly to its end.

at that time i pushed onto the RS and started to rotate

it was like increasing the pressure on the grab

coz he was already nearby energie end he could resist any longer.

didnt worked for me again after that one hehe
