My fav for 2 reasons: part of the most powerful battleship class in the world and Wisconsin is my home state.

I have a question, that has nothing to do with this mission; How do you play skirmish with light cruisers? If I select "cruiser" in the game, only heavy cruisers are avalible. But I wanna play as De Ruyter... =P

@Papadragon18 Try playing the "Island Capture" skirmish mode. Typically more units are available there.

@MisterCyber1 Mainly just the objective. Although I would recommend taking out the coastal guns as well.

@Assin180 one more question, if the Yamato DOES reach the shore is it very hard to destroy? I mean, can you knock out its guns for good?

@MisterCyber1 No it's not that hard to destroy. You can just send your battleship or some of your destroyers with torpedoes at it. However if you put your ship at the northern part of the battlefield where it comes in it shouldn't be that hard to take out. Once you destroy it the guns are out of action.

isnt it smart to send a squadron of planes with bombs towards the airfield and blow up the hangars??

Maybe, but you can only have a certain number of planes airborne at one time and since there are a lot of enemy aircraft in this mission I prefer to stick with fighters.

i was 2 seconds away from beating this mission and its like an hour long mission and my dad saw the power cord barely hannging to the outlet and decided to try to push it in more and when he did the power shut off i was so mad its a freakin hour long mission and i was 2 secs away from beating it!!!!!!!! aaaagggghhhh!!!!!!!

The yamoto is a beast in midway i took control of it and i was able to destroy 2 carriers 2battleships and 4 destroyers and i wasn't even at half health and there were million of planes and all you get is 2 destroyers for back up.

the formation i usually put my ships in is with the most important in the middle then i put the next strongest infront or back or either side (depends on the attack) and i make a shield for the mos important that way its harder to get through with torps or planes.

Okay, it says I need to unload troops to capture things....but my TV is too small and cant read the button.

to capture the objectives, just order your troop ships to attack the command stations. They have to be neutral for your ships to get ashore.

In the beginning why didn't u make a formation?

I wanted to rally all my ships in one place so they wouldn't get too spread out. Also the AI sometimes decides to attackenemies if they come to close which would make it break formation.

hmm didn't know that about the AI attacking ,but the 1 thing i didn't like about the formation is that the units keep the same distance as they were when they were grouped,instead of regrouping

They are both kind of the same in difficulty since they are the last missions. This one is more of a test of micro management then anything else.

a south dakota class, but you can upgrade it to an Iowa Class
