if you flip two edges you can still solve the cube... also, i tried using a screwdriver on my friend's cube, and the cube like cracked... probably my fault though, used to much pressure.
Hey Dan, About a month ago, i lubricated my cube with Wd-40. I was pretty skeptical with the results, and tried to stay positive for a while, but to be honest, WD40 sucks. My cube started to rust up, leak, and what not. It only slowed down my cube. My cube was bad for a while, until i used Eucerin lotion! Guys, do NOT use normal lotion, only Eucerin will work. Eucirin is not sticky, and is a very slick solution. My cube was instantly cured, and it turned out great. Good luck =)
I'm pretty sure WD 40 is a solvent too, so if it didn't eat the plastic inside the cube eventually it would cause the stickers to fall off. WD 40 definitely not recommended.
he said that he dosent trust lotion because he hasnt tried it yet. and why would he? he already lubricated it with petroluem jelly but you lubed it with lotion and now see for yourself the result...
mmm.. are you sure that a rubik cube can become impossible to solve if you put some pieces in a wrong place???..
because the rubik cube its design to make that any piece (not the center)can be in any place (of course corners in corners and midle pieces in midle places)..
yes, it becomes impossible even if you think it doesnt, it happened to me , i was solving it (dan browns way) and i kinda got mad and some pieces flied away, i remade it and i just couldnt be solved, then i changed them and there it was
you can also use a butterknife to pry the piece out and don't woryr troy it won't break.. if you want to get silicon you can go to any place like home depot and try to find heavy duty silicon lubricant. the only downside is that it might make your stickers peel if you don't protect them...just spray it on all the pieces and let it dry..at first it may feel like it makes the cube worse...but after working it an for a bit..it starts moving awsome

WD-40 eats up your cube means it "eats" plastic thats why your cube rusted and leaked.
u should use 100% silicone to lubricate your cube.
