In my whole life I have never heard something like this ... elam kettittund Hindi, tamil, arabic, turkish, malayalam ...... but nothing comparable to this .... a true materpiece...
In 90% of the cases, a particular song becomes popular when it was seen by the public in the film. Yesudas was lucky because his songs were perfected by Mr. Prem Nazir with astonioshing lip movements in hundreds of his films. Todays great singers do not have the actors on the big screen to make their songs popular with rare exceptions such as one Bharatham or another Pappayude Swantham Appoos etc. Narayanaswamy.
yesudas was lucky as he had his chances with great Music directors ,thay wouldn't let him go as they would demand 100%.Yesudas is like a diamond cut and polished by those music directors ..
Jesudas, no doubt has a good voice, but then he was luck to be at the right place at the right time. He greatly benefited from very good lyricists including Vayalar etc. and also with very gifted original talent musicians like Devarajan etc.
The movie director should have taken advantage of such nice poetry and made a really romantic scene. This stage scene does not do justice to the song.
