  • For owning a Rat and Mouse group she doesnt know much about rats... :/

  • I love rats, but I'm getting tired of that same old example that rats are smarter than hamsters. People, we want to convince people that rats are better than dogs or cats, not hamsters, hamsters aren't even competition, but they seem to be put into every comparison. Why not mice be compared, at least they stand a chance...

  • but wtf rats should not have hay! gaaah! >.< and they should absolutely not have wheels!! It hurts their spine when they run in them!! Oh shit fuuuck bloody americans! D: (not all of you)

  • @MIKBORK lol yea i no i have a fancy she is 18 months :( slowing down. But yea anyways i got her a wheel and got rid of it right away, it bothered her. (btw im an American)

..............................................Reporter lady has the most annoying laugh ever..... -_-

  • @BlackRatz09 That´s very whise of you! :D But do you only have one rat? o.o They are pack animals you know, they don´t feel so well without a friend or 10! :c In sweden, you have to keep atleast two rats together or you´ll violate the law!!!! D:

    indeed, the laugh. >.>

  • @BlackRatz09 no i only have her. I got her another female companion that was a few weeks old, back when she was much younger but she attacked the baby and got very stressed and territorial, so i had to give her to a woman who has about 18 rats of all different breeds :D

  • @BlackRatz09 so now its just my original fancy. But i spend a ton of time with her and she is very attached to me and my two cats who surprisingly enough don't fight her. I'm not quit sure what to do for her now though, she is losing weight and getting weak, and im not sure how to help her :(

  • a lot of rat shows don't permit wire cages anyway because the rats have to be in close proximity with each other and there is possibility of mating through the bars...

  • the rat doesn't seem to want anything to do with her

  • her laugh is annoying :(

  • ugh , granted the great opportunity to promote ratties publicly for great family pets and she identifies her rat as " not having a name " ???? Oh well , we've got a loooong road ahead don't we -

  • Wow how can she have a pet rats that doesnt have a name!

  • Wow the afrma uses aquariums? SAD THAT IS A BIG NONO...

  • I think it is ok to use aquariums. The main consideration is space. And they are at a show, so maybe she prefers to use aquariums while traveling, they make better cages while riding in a car than wire ones.

  • Well that is your personal choice, but i dont see why you like them, the cost of the rats health outweighs the look or practicality of the aquarium. I think a nice travel cage is far better, its lightweight, and is better for the rats health.

  • I use a home made wire cage at home, and would strongly suggest this type, but I think it (aquariums) might work well for shows. You can easily have your rat viewable, while minimizing the fingers that might get poked through an otherwise wire cage. I wouldn't say I like aquariums, but they could come in handy for short stints.

  • That tank is a little small in my opinion.

  • I think I'm ready to get back into it, after being several months since I had to put my last baby down.

Now, whether to get more girls, or try males.

  • Great Club! Thanks for posting!
