You can get a metal tone out of any guitar, it's you're amp that counts, fenders can be played for any music, just like any guitar, just because certain types of guitars are advertised as a metal or rock guitar, doesn't mean that they can't get an incredible country or blues tone out of it. Also it's the quality of you're guitar that counts, a fender is a well made guitar, making it more versatile meaning you could play it for almost any type of music with the right amp.

Then again you'll never get the blues feel with a dimebag razor compared to a semi-acoustic gretsch but in the end that only counts for really experienced people that care about every little bit of the tone.

I have a squier tele, I can get as much metal out of it as I want and for my level its fine for blues and anything else ^^

Beg to disagree, i just bought my new amp a few week ago

When i tried it in store i tried it with a strat and i liked the clean sound but i couldnt get a halfway decent distortion sound out of it to save my life, but when i got home and tried it with my les paul, man i was blown away by the distortion, i couldnt even believe i was playing through the same amp.

Believe me, the guitar is way more important than the amp.

It depends on the quality of the amp, try one on an extremely high end amp and see the results, I tried an expensive ibanez then tried my strat (before i bought it), this was on one of the most expensive marshalls in the store, The ibanez sounded the same no matter what pickup i played on but the strat sounded different everytime. My strat is excellent for metal but even better for clean tones. My videos aren't the greatest quality but i can replicate metallicas tones with my vox and my strat.

huh? not plugged in.... dude it's a tellecaster so the output jack is on the bottom corner and thoughout the entire video that portion of the guitar was never visable... the chrome part you can see that your prolly mistaking for the jack is the tone and volume pots. and you can also see the cord for his headphone's (i'm assuming) going up his shoulder.... and if you listen you can hear in a few places his timing is slightly missaligned... so i belive he is plugged in... DOUCHE !

I just saw the equipment you use, damn I didn't know behringer was so good with tone!!! fuck! lol my bassist had a behringer amp that he got rid of in favor of a hartke amp (the hartke is 450 watts!) but damn!! This sounds so awesome. My first amp was a Crate GX/FX series, then I started doing the soundcard thing with amp sims, but now I do stuff with my Randall RG100, I like the tone it gives. Do you use any amp sims, and if so, what do you use?

Holy shit man, I've got to say, you're one hell of a musician. I've played a ton of Fenders and have never gotten good crunch on them. You're good at eq'ing everything perfectly. To those who think its fake, they're dumb. I can hear a sliiiight hum of your amp (its ok, can be fixed with wavelab/protools) but damn!! The tone is excellent. I play on an ESP LTD EX50/Randall RG100 SC, it took me years to find my "perfect tone". Mine's more Pantera-y blended with Metallica tone. Whats your EQing?

The tabs are wrong. I figured out the 2222222 by ear because the whole 232323 thing just never seemed right... lol. if you listen closely to the song you can hear it. But other than that you're really good, and I love your tone.
