I watched the inaguration with my sons (14 and 8 years old), my niece and nephews and my 98 year old grandmother. POWERFUL... that's all I can say. I cried when he won the nomination, cried when he won the presidency, and cried during the inaguration.

This moment in time means so much... not just for black people, not just the U.S., but the world... it transcends race, country, political affiliation, and so much more.

Yes we did... WOW. I am so hopeful right now.

Actually, a lot of people give a shit, hence the extremely large turnout in extreme cold temperatures to watch the inauguration. He is not better than anyone else, the point is this is the FIRST minority president. Celebration occured when the first American's landed on space, when the first American won an Olympic medal,etc... so why shouldn't celebration occur now?
