This is not an honest account of the life of Harriet Tubman and enslaved Africans who suffered horrific acts of dehumanization at the hands of White men on a daily basis.
Enslaved Africans were not "gardening" for the enslavers, or perspiring from chopping down trees. They were being whipped, chained, raped and tortured to submission.
I know that this movie does not present the cruelty slaves had to go through, but at least helpred my pupils to understand a little how their lives were in those days.
