I say keep the euro, but let it run wild, stop printing, let it reach its true value. Countries that find it convenient compliment their economies with a national, more artificially protected currency.

I always thought of the euro as as experiment towards a solidly backed international currency that countries could not tamper with. We were suposed to let laws of supply and demand define the q and p of euros, and its aveilability to countries. We finally got to an intresting point, a defaulting country, a couple of big greedy banks dragged along to the mud. and then we did not let the markets adjust. Big set back. Nothing learned.
