i played rugby before when i lived n england. you dont need pads in rugby because none of the hits are hard. in rugby, the way you tackle is more like pulling people down, while in football you hit them so hard that they cant stay up. i was in england wen i was 15 i got kicked off the school rugby team because i injured 3 people in my first week of practice, cuz i was used to hitting football style. theres a reason also y little kids here play football without pads in their backyards.
