  • I love the way he jumps for joy at the end LOL... ahn I know the feeling :)

  • With a better upload you'd be able to see that this was the most revealing outfit that Ginger ever wore. It's nice.

  • SO Great! And so Hollywood!!

  • Lolllll best scene evah

  • HOW DO YOU LIKE MA DRESS? lmao

  • LMAO Ginger was kind of laughing 'after they kiss' Im sure Fred Astaire put on the lipstick himself :D haha Cute!

  • this is probably one of the best kisses if ever seen...well i guess this counts as seeing it... :P

  • Ginger looks soooo nervous in this scene! Fred's adorable.

  • "HOW DO YOU LIKE MY DRESS??!!" XD best line ever

  • Ginger was so beautiful! Underrated in the looks department imo.

  • I absolutely love the looks on both their faces throughout the entire scene. Especially Fred when he's got the lipstick all over his mouth.

  • "Oh don't be silly"

    What a cutie!

  • Just breathtaking. I love the emotion they show. It's a REAL kiss, romantic one.

The kisses in the modern movies these day are either lustful or superficial.

  • LOL that was super funny! , gosh i love classic movies!

  • so adorable! hehehe Ginger & Fred <3 :P

  • They are so ca-UTE! Like 4 year olds.

  • They are so ca-UTE!

  • they were adorable. Dont u love the way they dressed back then. Stunning

  • @margaritasalt1 yes, the clothes they adorned back then are simply divine! And their figures are also amazing. And check out the hairstyles! I love Ginger's hair in "Tales of Manhattan". I think people in general cared more about their appearance during this era. And beauty and fashion seemed to be more systematic than it is now. Like, women went with things that complimented their skin tone, eyes, figure, etc. But everything these days is basically wear whatever you want.

  • I love how they are like panting after they kiss haha.

  • I love this!

  • @lilchic2qt Swing Time;-)

  • love this scene it's hilarious :P

  • Awe, this is adorkable! :-)

  • "If you do it I'll stand on my head."

Now, with a deal like that! xD

  • "How do you like my dress?!"

    Wow!!

  • hahahaha

HOW DO YOU LIKE MA DRESS?

  • I love this movie and this scene...and that has got to be one of the most beautiful dresses I have ever seen. Love the clothes of the 30s, and Ginger wore it so beautifully on the dancer's physique of hers. They were so adorable together (and the dancing wasn't too shabby either). Thanks for sharing.

  • LMAO. "HOW DO YOU LIKE MAH DRESS!?"

  • When Fred "kisses" her that was a fake. She said that they stoped the shooting and had the make-up lady put the lip stick on him because his wife didn't like the girls kissing him. She said that she remremaind kissless until their second to last film or something like that. It irritated her. lol but you've got to love them.

  • this is soooooooooooo sweet! I ♥ Ginger Rogers

  • That was the most adorable thing I have ever seen

  • i love how much a little kiss means in this... it's beautiful. i wish there was as much class now as there was back then

  • LOL I laughed so hard at the goofy grins on their faces, and the lipstick! Oh my god. The dialogue was so cute.

  • That is such a cute scene... I wish movies today were more like this!

  • I love this scene. So genuine and sweet. I smile every time I watch it. Thanks for putting it up.

  • I love the triumphant leap over the chair!

  • aww adorable but wish we could have seen the kiss :(

  • "Um...h-h-how d'youlike m'dress?!!"

Probably the most genuinely romantic scene between Fred & Ginger- made even more charming because of the kiss we DON"T see. My favorite F & G film.

  • lolled at the door xD lolled very hard! and at the lipstick xD

  • Hahaha, I love his reaction after he kisses her! :-)

  • so romantic ... and so funny !!! I love Frad Astaire.

    " It's nice "

  • Ginger was very cute. that's one of the things I like about her. she seems so unsure and nervous with Fred but that's the charm. Vivien Liegh was the same way with Rhett Butler. can't find an actress like that nowadays.

  • Back in 1930s, another actress who exuded those qualities of youthful freshness, energy, natural nervousness /diffidence and innocent charm was Ruby Keeler (Ginger's starring co-hoofer in film musical "42nd Street."

  • haha, I love it. So much better than the never ending sex scenes in modern movies.

  • I agree. they probably didn't actually kissed but great acting.

  • I also agree 100% ;P

  • @kissymissy08 Wow, do you have that right! I totally agree.

  • Hahaha! I love these two.Ginger is SO adorable! I love her dress.

  • they are so cute together...love how they look at each other..great chemistry between em both..LOVE IT

  • Yes, they are bloody adorable with each other...

Interesting fact: Ginger Rogers said in her autobiography, that on one of their dates(before Fred met beloved Phyllis, of course) ended with a kiss that would definately not pass the Hayes Office Code(censorship). She also said, and I quote: "If I had stayed in New York,

I think Fred Astaire and I might have become a more serious

    item." Now how about that.

Unfortunately, fans of Fred/Ginger...she didnt stay...they went on further dates though.

  • I especially love these bits:

The way Fred backs off twice, looking so adorably confused and innocent. LOL

And Ginger's delivery of "HOW DO YOU LIKE MY DRESS?"

    ...

    Thanks (immediately runs off)".

    These two are hilarious. :D

  • She is gorgeous, she is funny, she is cute, she is shy, she is graceful, and above all so down to earth and so talented.

  • Happy 110th birthday Fred

    u rock

  • Nice :)

  • this must be one of the best kissin scenes ever :P

  • I second that!

  • her dress is so pretty :)

  • The omission of the actual kiss heats our imaginations so much hotter than seeing it. I feel this is a wonderful way to thwart censorship. Loving is here to stay. Hooray!

  • these two are so cute together. i love that they don't let us see the kiss, it makes the whole scene so much cuter and it puts more stock in their chemistry. i also adore the lipstick on fred's face when he grins! this is by far one of my favorite fred and ginger pictures.

  • Does anybody has that film...? I just wish so much to see it, but I can´t get it !

  • it's on youtube right now here

    /watch?v=U9gRw779Sxw

  • AWESOME i LOVE this bit in the movie!.

  • fred looks lovly in lip stick, dosent he!

  • I nearly didnt watch this cause i didnt want to see them kiss. Its the "almost" chemistry between them that i love... I laughed out loud when i saw this. I LOVE Fred Astaire. Him and Ginger, they're so cute!!

  • It's nice....

  • They are both too cute. I'm torn between wanting to see the kiss, and having it stay the same. I think this way is certainly more funny.

  • OMG!!!I love this movie.

i especially love the look on ginger's face when she kisses fred! SO ADORABLE!=)

  • "How do you like my dress?...Thanks."

    haha great timing

    Ginger is just too cute!

  • Brilliant!

Swing Time is my favourite film!

  • I love this scene. LOL

  • its nice!

    you like it!

    hahah

  • Didja notice that there's a picture of him on her dressing room wall?

  • I don't know

  • You can see it beyond her shoulder just after she stands up (:55). I've seen that photo of Astaire in a book before.

  • Have good sight, was watching the dress ginger ")

  • That's certainly understandable!

  • @YNGR just noticed that! thats kinda cute lol

  • HOW DO YOU LIKE MY DRESS?!?!?

    hhahaha

  • Hahaha yeah. I love that!
