The reason the performance here is so patchy is that Alistair Crowley visited Jimmy Page in a dream the previous night and proclaimed the band would turn into brocoli half way through this song.
As far as one can tell It never happened but judging by the edginess on display here there's no doubt the band took it very seriously. They even forgot to change into their stage costumes and played in casual day gear. Quite embarrassing.
