Sake (sah-Keh), Mirin (mee-reen) and Dashi can be found at a lot of regular grocery stores nowadays (maybe because people are drinking more Saketini ;-) ). In stead of sake you can also use Dry Sherry, and you can even buy Mirin and Dashi from Amazon.com.
