If your food eats wastes, you get the concentrated pollution they absorb.
Don't call them Paddle fish. Call the Poopy fish.
There is a point where recycling has negative effects.
The fish food eats poop, concentrating the poops toxins.
The fish eat the toxic water fleas that ate the poop.
This concentrates the toxins further.
The EPA is a for profit corporation, not a health insuring agency.
An ignorant and poisonous way to make some money, regardless of the cost to peoples health.

Those water fleas that are growing in those settling tanks just might make a good commercial fish food for the home hobbyist.
I like the idea of squeezing every bit of use out of old, outdated buildings..
