If anyone has the executables from /X version 4.12, please get in touch with me. I've not long purchased an Amiga 1200 and I'm trying to get it set up with a full BBS. Version 4.9 fom amiexpress.co.uk is OK, but I want to put together a proper template with 4.12, make it available for download to folks and then customise my own.
@sisterbrothers Hi chap. I downloaded the 4.12 zip from your site a little while ago. Only got around to unpacking it the other day. The ACP panel showed 4.9 in the window title and the /X connect string showed 4.9 too (once I'd got it up and running). I checked the $VER as well.
I've just re-downloaded from your site and ACP is definitely 4.9 :^o
I was looking for your contact info to ask for the 4.12 exe's, but... well, then I clicked here :)
@VinylPusher Ah right, I didn't see this message until just now, hehe - for the record, I've never really been fussed over the 4.9 ACP, my main concern was tracking down that 4.12 Express file.
@VinylPusher Oh, as far as I know the 'express' file, the main thing, is 4.12 - I hadn't considered that you were also talking about the ACP file, which, yup, is an older version. Best way to see the connect string etc is to use the flash login on the site, 'Connect B'.
BBS those were the best days ever. I used to get on with my Commodore 64 computer. Actually I am working on a BBS now that will be up sometime this year.
Buahahaha....You mortal beings...I was warping with my Germany imported 14.4K modem in those days :D But to be honest I was an NComm fan :D I even wrote a lot of scripts for it :)
Great memories, loggin on, getting some cool files. I remember the massive speed difference when I went from 2400baud to 9600 and then 14400.

@sisterbrothers I thought so to, except when you unpack the archive on amiexpress.co.uk, you find that it's version 4.9.
I've got that version currently installed on my A1200, just to re-familiarise myself with it.

Hmm. Express is showing V4.12, it's only ACP showing V4.9.
I need to rethink my beer intake.
