The white ones have a magnet on the right side of the computer and that attracts a metal piece inside the remote...yeah, I don't know why Apple got rid of that feature. I guess the aluminum ones are thinner and the white remote doesn't match. It's more stylish but not as functional, perhaps.

He leido todos los reviews y Alguien que alega que las Imac son un timo porque estan hechas con piezas de portatiles..Si lo dice por la de 17"... Y las mas grandes de 27 ", entonces si es asi ¿De que estan llenas las Imacs mas grandes? ¿ de 4 disco duros? ¿de 3 DVD-ROMS? No te culpo de no haber visto las otras MAC. Una MAC de 27" seria como aplastar tu PC con todos los atributos que todas las nuevas mac tienen (Y).
Vale, venga, pues nada, comprate el nuevo iMac, que por cierto trae una pantalla peor (panel TN) comparada con su modelo anterior(panel S-IPS).
Por cierto, no intentes usar mando a distancia, puesto que no lo incluye.
A, y si quieres meterle mucha ram, ghz y demás, te costará unos 200€ más que si te comprabas el modelo anterior con las mimsas especificaciones técnicas.
Si le echas un ojo a las especificaciones técnicas podrás comprobar que poco ha variado... más que nada el aspecto estético, que han eliminado el modelo de 17'' y que han bajado algo más los precios, así como que la pantalla es reflectante...

I have a question: i have had mac for like many years and its like the best choice. but my question is, since i'm getting a black macbook tomorrow and a imac core 2 duo tomorrow as well, i heard the mighty mouse really glitches or sometimes doesn't read. is that true?

i just go a 20" intel imac, 2.33ghz core 2 duo, 2gb ram, 256mb graphics....... and i F***ING LOVE IT!!!

Macs can do lots of things, but this is a way to show you the power of it.

what a fanboy. ive opened 780 pictures at once and no errors no lagging. on my pc, and i can run as many windows as i can too and ive nvr had any bsod

And the same applies to you too. If you were to say that you're not a PC fanboy, then you'd at least have the courtesy to consider trying Mac. Sure you opened 780 pictures, whatever the content, and no lag, but maybe mac can open 7 sets of 780 pictures with hardly any difference. I bet you've never used a Mac before, because if you have, you wouldn't have wasted your time typing such crap

That IS impressive. At first I felt uncomfortable when you were opening so many apps! Mine has the stock RAM and it couldn't do that. 2 GB of memory is just great. I'd love to be able to do that.

1 - try and upgrade it
2 - if you want a new monitor, your screwed.
3 - nothing impressive about 33 programs open. you were not using them. They were just in idle with nothing loaded in them.
4 my PC can do the same, i just dont need all the flashy motion, take too much time up for me.

1 - Try to carry your PC (both screen and tower) ON ONE HAND.
1.2 - Try to put all the components of your PC INSIDE of your display (including your webcam ;).
1.3 - Try to connect all your peripherals with 1 CABLE (using bluetooth keyboard and mouse).
3 - Try to play 2 or more movies (simultaneously) on Windows Media Player ;)
3.1 - What happens if an application hangs up the entire system? you must reboot. In OS X, IT NEVER HAPPENS, because it has PROTECTED MEMORY.

3.2 - Try to render a video, rip a mp3 CD, rip a DVD, listen to music and surf the internet SIMULTANEOUSLY. Your computer will become SLOOOOOW, it never happens in OS X, because it has PREEMPTIVE MULTITASKING.
4 - Your PC can do the same, but Windows (GNU/Linux, whatever you use) cannot ;) OS X is all about EXCEPT WASTING TIME, there are shortcut commands for almost any actions you want to do.
4.1 - Try to reveal the desktop with a simple mouse movement.

4.3 - Try to drag a file to any folder you want, no matter where it's located, WITHOUT RELEASING THE FILE with your mouse.
4.4 - Try to capture the screen (or even a single window) with a keystroke.

4.6 - Try to navigate (in windows explorer) thru your directory tree with your keyboard (up and down, back and forward).

4.8 - Try to find any file on the whole system AS YOU TYPE.
4.9 - Try to rename a thousand of files (or any script you could imagine) from anywhere, anytime.
This features are BUILT IN Mac OS X, you don't need 3rd party software to this. And FYI there is a lot of amazing free software that makes OS X even better, like Quicksilver and Growl, for example.

i tested it on my computer opened all programs with a song on windows media 10.0 going had over 10 programs and the intire suit of adobe photo shop dident miss a beat and i have a pc with amd athlon 3000 2.1 ghz not even 2 core

yo tengo una 20" y cierto pueden hacer eso pero la cosa es que esten precargados los programas, porque arranque por primera vez no es tan rapido seamos honestos, pero claro, eso no le quita que sean excelentes maquinas, arranque por 20 ssegundos? es impresionante.
