  • That's a great looking minibike. I've been looking for info on the Lil Indians and I can't find anything linking the 5hp to them. I wonder if that was an early option they discontinued.

  • Looks like a Tecumseh engine.

  • That's a model 500 LiL Indian in the video. Did you get it complete or build it from a kit? I still have my 1968 LiL Indian model 5000 which had a swing arm on the rear and front and rear springs.

  • hey old buddy Id still love to see some still shots of this minibike,,i builr them as you know and would love to see a good still shot or 2 of this Lil Indian,,thanks and love this video,,Rick

  • Thanks for putting this up. My brother and me got our Lil Indian for Christmas 1968. It had a Briggs & Stratton engine.

  • Everybody that has a mini bike learn from this video....NEVER SELL YOUR TOYS! I sold my go cart I had back in the 80s and regret it as well. I kept my mini bikes though. I'm 35 now and ridding them again. My dad is 73 and he is riding them again as well. I think it made him feel about 60 years younger. At 70 he took a fall on one and didn't get hurt even...I might put that video up! Glad I still got my 1st car, a 1974 Javelin AMX in orange.

  • Hello again,,I forgot to tell you the motor on this was a Briggs and Stratton for sure without a doubt,,sure wish i could find one of these new in the box from the 60's dont you ? haha,,,also I found out they will be available this summer brand new,,thats right there bringing them back for sale this summer identical to this one and I will have one I promise,,,Rick

  • hello again,,ive just built another minibike similar your Lil Indian in this video and also similar to the Taco mini bikes of the 1960's,,search snowmangsx1100 again to see it,,I think I listed it as Lil Indian / Taco home built Minibike,,,talk about tiny,,haha.

  • That's kool!

These bikes were simple, yet awesome at the same time.

Yes the bike in the video is completely stock, and that is what makes it so nice.

Gosh, I wish I had not only the Lil Indian, but also my 1969 Gold Mustang Grande with a white vinyle roof , and 302 V8 windsor motor!

  • Hello my minibike listed here on you tube is similar to Lil Indians and your video inspired me to paint it like yours was and redo the seat to match Lil Indian,,mine is actually 5 inchs shorter than the Lil Indians were believe it or not and Ive owned it for many many years and I had 2 Original Lil Indians as a kid but both were stolen,,you may see my Lil indian look alike,,just search snowmangsx1100 here on youtube,,,Bet you wish you still had yours huh ??

  • My minibike on youtube is surprisingly similar to a Lil Indian and your video here is what inspired me to paint mine gold and redo the seat to match the one in your video,,,I currently have this minibike and have owned it for many many years and believe it or not its smaller than the Lil Indians were and by about 5 inchs shorter,,you may view my Lil Indian look a like here on youtube,,,just search snowmangsx1100,,,thanks and I also had 2 Lil Indians growing up as a kid and both were stolen.

  • nice lil indian. my friend back in the late 60's had 2 brand new lil indians that his dad bought for him. you can bet we were best friends after seeing him ride them the night he got them. lol never forget that night.
