Now these I'll give a download I was going to a few yrs ago when released as xbla titles but for a $10 price tag. Now free bac to Mac pun intended lol bad1 tho. But I'm curious about the halo history which is intertwined with this game as it seems that the marathon battles are the chronicles of the forerunner sort of. But at the same time it has nothing to do with halo. Feels like doom or duke nukem 3d was so awesome in his day wish they would give this series the anniversary treatment halo got

@AppSpy Lately I've been thinking about buying Cytus, and the few videos I've seen of it showed me that it's got an awesome soundtrack and such, but I'm yet to understand just what it is outside of another rhythm game. A review would be helpful to see just WHAT makes it special.

The problem with FPS on Iphone devices is ALWAYS the controls. I'm not sure why Apple haven't figured out that they could virtually annihilate Sony and Nintendo in handheld games if they just developed an additional control add-on (with twin sticks preferably). There's only one FPS that I find really works well on the device - the greatest FPS of them all: DOOM.

This game looks interesting but I can feel the control frustration by watching you play. Someday, hopefully, Apple will wake up.

why would you be reviewing a free game? There isnt much of a risk in downloading and testing a free game, wouldnt it make more sense to review the HD version that isnt free to see if its worth it?

@AppSpy yeah, but its still a review of a free game and the mention of the HD version is as far as I could hear just a note on sharper graphics. Isnt it the normal procedures to actually review the version that costs something, because that is the one you need to spend money on. That sharper graphics might be very important for some and would be nice to see, not only hear about. If I want info about a free game I think I might as well download it myself. Just my thoughts

@korpiz Correct, but despite being free, this is Marathon, a game that has historical significance to the platform. Regardless of its price the game had to be reviewed. As for recording footage of the HD, I was unable to restore the purchase of the HD mode on my device (Andrew). If I have spare time today I'll record some HD gameplay (the biggest improvement is the lighting effects, the textures really are just 'sharper') for people to compare with this video.

@AppSpy I have given it a play. I can't get over the controls, ruined it for me. Nothing close to my memories of playing this on my mac all those years ago.
