Profit is not always good: this is whats exactly happening today in the world companies are making profit at the cost of health(cigarettes,pharmaceutic­als) of people and at the cost of environment(Oil,Car manufacture..leading to global warming) at the cost of Peace(making weapons and fighter jets). Hence, profit is not good if it comes at these costs.That is why we need to ask ourselves, we are making profit out of the environment or are we killing the golden goose(earth) by our greed.

The Guest is clearly speaking from a Philosophical stand point. And the Host cannot argue or discuss her thoughts to him. The Objective to do business is to solve a problem and when we do it in the best possible way, money automatically follows it. Everyone in this world is motivated by a sense of Importance. Even the Guest is saying all these; feeling that he knows something superior than the Host, he gets his significance by talking like this.
