the original daytona charger hit a little over 217mph with a 426 hemi and all motor no mods just the face and the aerodynamic wing.

ricers however think they can achive an extra 500hp with a fart can and airplane wing.

lol too funny. i remember the olds aerotech now that twin turbo 4 cylinder was a true 200 mph beast. thats the only AMERICAN 4 cylinder i will respect except the shelby chrysler daytona glh turbo . even though they were front wheel drive they had some decent power. shelby dyno'd his personal one at 430 h.p. not bad for a front driver. but i like the real musclecars more then the front drivers.

thats amazing, yeah im more of a v8 fanboy lol but like certain 4 cyl and 6 cyl i will respect like the buick GNX was and is a total badass. but i think its safe to say RWD > anything else! and for anyone else who wants to argue that 4wd is better, yes off roading 4wd is best and for hooking a car on the track it works too, but from a roll a 4wd doesnt snap speed the way a rwd does.

ah so you like buick gnx's? check out ken dutweiler....possibly the world's fastest pro street buick gnx on earth. or he was back when i was keeping up in hotrod magazine. i still wonder how fast a twin aerodyne turbo'd 4.1 v6 or the 4.3 gnx could go? everyone uses the 3.8 but never the big 4.1 or the 4.3. like i said if ya like gnx's check him out. he was pretty fast.

9 seconds?? no thats way too slow for him. he wants to go 8 or 7's in the 4.1 V6 with the aerodyne turbos. btw aerodyne turbos are off of army tanks. 1 would be enough for a normal drag racer but he ain't normal luckily. just imagine what he could do with a V8?

i messed up. i meant to say 2 aerodyne turbos and a V8. as if 1 tank turbo wasnt enough for the 9 second 1/4 mile in a V6. slap 2 on a V8 and run down the 1/4 mile.
