  • my dad was in the band its so cool

  • 120 minutes with Matt Pinifield lived on it during the 90's great memories.

  • Cool...

  • only 121,000 views. Wow. Not enough people know what good music is...

  • @IXIREDNECK13IXI fight! fight! fight!

  • @IXIREDNECK13IXI LOL that sounds like some gay shit you're used to hearing isn't it? HAHA

  • @drizzetsrevenge fight! fight! fight!

  • @IXIREDNECK13IXI LOL that makes no sense. I bet if you spoke in words containing more then one syllable and didn't type in all caps, you wouldn't seem like such a half-wit moron.

  • 0:56 "bolth"?

  • this whole album brings back sooooooo many memories! One of my favorites

  • Awesome 90's music. Totally for burning and relaxing.

  • he clearly doesnt care about singing songs out of tune

  • HaHaHa.... @ TheCrakgenius....Who is gonna actually know what a "Mill Rat" is other than those of us that were sitting outside Longwong's on Fri and Sat nights listening to the local music?(like Dead Hot, GinBlossoms and The Refreshments).... But I love it!

    @ Greenmarine5.....your just a moron.....please don't post your comments pertaining to Arizona bands anymore....Thankyou....

  • @nogoodpunkrocker don't forget about Jimmy Eat World!

  • even at applebees when im eating dinner...

  • this band is awesome. my dad showed me then when i was maybe 15. im 21 now and hearing there songs everywhere. its weird.

  • Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers!

  • I LOVE the in-song shout-out to fellow Mill rats Dead Hot Workshop.

  • i have this song on my ipod and i absolutely LOVE IT!

  • i love u guys! used to listen to this song all the time! i think the lead sing is so hot

  • A friend of mine sent me here cause he loves this band...My taste in music is very differant than his.......Yeah I'm a HATER!!!!! bunch of boys than can play music but their Vocals need some serious work

  • @greenmarine5 stfu they ricj dint gi judging

  • Has been and always will be..... my favorite band of all-time....

  • OMG. I obsessively listened to this CD the Summer of my freshman year in high school. Sigh. Times were so simple <3 First love, first kiss! Good memories :)

  • this isn't too bad. just hearing this band first time today. I'm from SC, but really like AZ bands: Gin Blossoms, Jimmy Eat World, Meat Puppets...

I noticed in this song he mentioned Dead Hot Workshopppe, a little known Arizona band.

  • And that is why I like them.. Hate pop music. Saw Roger a few weeks ago and he still is doing it for all the reason he started making music...making music his way.

  • I first heard this song in my teens and decided I want it played at my wedding.

Im now 31 and planning a wedding....And still insist this song be played.

  • fuck, this song never gets old! :D

  • Headed to Mexico in a few days... Ya know I'll have these guy's songs playing the whole drive down!

  • MOUSE TRAP!!

  • I went to a Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers concerts last night.

The drummer was standing, he's such a beast!

  • @cokekillspepsi Jim Dalton is my late music partner's nephew.

  • @cernich300 Newflash: Every artist lipsyncs in every music video... they use the studio track and impose it onto the video, so it's not like they're playing live. This goes for all the instruments, too. What you hear on the album is what you hear on the video.

  • such a great song, sad that this band is nearly forgotten :C

  • They are and always will be my favorite band to sing to while on a road trip with my son who now is 16, but when we sang this particular song he just so happened to be about 5 years old. This whole entie album has brought me up when I was down and will forever do so until I'm gone. Love you guys! A Scottsdale, Arizona native fan forever. Thanks again!

  • Damn.they were really good.I dont know why they didnt make it big.And for those of you who didnt know, the Refreshments are well known for doing the theme song to "King Of The Hill".

  • @Foolishpleazure i know thats how i first heard of them

  • I see a bunch of people commenting how they love this band. The Refreshments aren't around anymore but their singer ,Roger Clyne and their drummer, PH Naffah reformed as Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers after their stint on Mercury Records. If you like this you'll love RCPM!

  • ROCKIN!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I remember being 12 and singing this song all the time! I had great taste.!! haha

  • I would put them in my top five bands for sure. Nada and Mekong being my top two songs by them

  • I'm glad my drummer suggested we learn this song. great tune, catchy as hell and fun to play!

  • the singer has something weird growing in the left side of his neck (our right side)

  • @kcmet79 It's a vein. You can't see it as well because of the hair, but Roger Clyne has some prodigious veins in his neck.

  • they replaced the replacements at Big DayOut in Atlanta and i have loved them eversince please come back !!!

  • this band and fastball,,good music only a few appreciate!!

  • @nuno7911 fastball is the shit!

  • Twenty days left...

  • bit weird come on listen to the lyrics but....is..........EPIC!!!!

  • I have the distinct pleasure of jamming with Brian. Great musician!

  • this band always has the power to cheer me up when im down...they are amazing!!!

  • he's got that pauly shore vibe to me, the look and voice. cali guy.. :)

  • god i miss them. u know they do the intro and outro song to king of the hill...

  • most deff...23 been listening to them since i was 12 my fav song from them.

  • always thought this song was about growing old with someone.

  • Brian Blush is a tool bag. (Dick in the Cowboy hat.) Used to play with the guy.

  • @destrukters i agree! he stole money from me, but the band was good.

  • I was at a party of RCPM fanatics in Glendale right before May '07 Circus Meximus. The owner of the house had just bought Brian Blush's gold Les Paul from somewhere. The same guitar in this video and the other MTV videos here.

  • build a better mousetrap?

  • the " we can pretend we speak italian" reminds me of " look in my eyes and pretend im a super model"

  • 120 Minutes was an awesome collection of great music! That was about the one thing MTV did worth while in the last 20 years.

  • @domdawg9000 No shit! I might be a little young, but I definitely remember seeing Kurt Cobain in a yella dress for the appearance on 120 Minutes. I'm still waiting for the musicians these days to be as balls out as any 90's rockers were. Although I imagine that said Kurt would have offed himself before he let his band's music sink to the depravity which is now Metallica.

  • @beerme63074 Ouch. I guess the truth hurts.

  • Watch out for that chimp, man! The eat people's testicles!

  • Really excellent band - I have always loved their style and material.

  • @erw956 What are you talking about? Yes, this is The Refreshments, the same band that did the "King of the Hill" theme song. They made a big splash with this album in 1996. The lead singer has a new band, Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers. Brush up on your knowledge if you're going to hate.

  • these guys never get old ive seen them sooooo many times live they where my first concert i ever went to ive even seen roger clyne and the peacemakers hell ive also been to some of the concerts that where just roger and ph in between refreshments and peacemakers plus they represent my hometown of az :-) kick ass band!!!!!!

  • @lsampf can a state be a hometown?

saw the peacemakers at blueberry hill in st louis. great great show at a tiny venue

  • They say home is where the heart is....So yes in my opinion a state (Arizona) can be your "hometown"

  • i love this song like this much!

  • And on Lead Vocals and Guitar --- Pauly Shore

  • buddy, thats roger meade clyne, or so wikipedia sais

  • am pretty sure he is making a joke:) but yes its roger clyne lol

  • I feel like such a dork for watching this. woohoo 120 minutes

  • @gunshadow98

    MATT PINFIELD !!!!

  • i love this song i havent heard it since i was 3 or 4

  • me too lol

  • i love this song i heard it on the radio and i was like "woooaaaaaaaaaaahh it fucking blows my mind" my mom was lik "uhhhhh wat?"

  • rcpm sucks. i prefer the refreshments.

  • yes, i agree completly.

  • the refreshments forever!!!!!

  • I love this song!

  • who are the replacements?

  • RCPM!

  • I agree this band is great...unfortunately not many others agreed...being a ZONIE myself, I enjoy the "desert" sound!

  • I'm sure someone has said this before but the singer kinda reminds me of Pauley Shore

  • Yeah, however- Roger Clyne is awesome, pauley shore is not.

  • This is one of my FAVORITE songs!!! I was thinking the video didn't do it justice until I saw the chimp on the bouncy ball lol

  • they broke up and became a band called roger clyne and the peacemakers

  • The Refreshments are one of the greatest and yet most unknown bands!

  • @Nolly934 Correction, Roger Clyne and the Peace Makers are one of the greatest and yet most unknown bands!

  • "I could give you a star you could give me one too and then that way we'd be even..."

  • Check out our King Of The Hill (orig. Refreshments)

  • Hey, where's the base at the beginning? Anyhow, as soon as I heard this song on the radio I rushed to the record store and bought their album...one with chick in a bikini on the cover...lol

They also did the title music for "king of the hill"

  • I freakin' love this song! The Refreshments totally bring back memories of a great childhood!

  • i love this song

  • This is awesome. Are these guys still together.

  • still together as Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers Playin soon in your neighborhood

  • thamks for this video!! 90s grea age!!

  • oh! i remember this one!! hee-hee! happy times!

  • yes!

  • This is a great song. Always brings back good memories for me.

  • whoa, i got chills there at the end.. that dont happen often with alternative rock tracks of the mid 90's.. they sure left their mark, ill never forget these, were the soundtrack to 1995 for me..

  • All of the work done by either the Refreshments or Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers is amazing. You must see them live. Nothing like seeing a band that loves their fans as much as their fans love them. AWESOME

  • One of THEE greatest endings to a song of all time. It just kills me every time. Incredible song writing.

  • Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeet!

  • sorry i meant to rate that thumbs up!

  • love this song. makes me happy. it cheers me up no matter what.

  • He reminds me of Pauly Shore....Totally different then the picture I had of him in my head. Lol at rat trap...That stupid game never worked right for me. I always had to push the ball down the stairs.

Still the song rocks, one of my favorites ♪*_*♪

  • OMG! I was SO gonna comment on how he reminds me of Pauly Shore until I read your comment! LoL

On another note, this song makes me all nostalgic and stuff.

  • que recuerdos año 96 en lima peru inolvidable cuanod tomaba con mis amigos en las playas de barranco

  • Fizzy, Fuzzy WAS a remarkable album. I bought it because of Banditos which was the first single. At the time, I was accustomed to buying CD's for one song and finding out that were maybe 2 or 3 decent tracks on the whole disc. By the 3rd or 4th time listening Fizzy Fuzzy, I began to realize that there was something special about this album. It delivered quality traks from start to finish with a sound unique in contrast to the popular music of the mid-90's.

    REFRESHMENTS ROCK!

  • I agree 110%...their music makes me happy and they rock. The entire album was great.

  • Totally.....for sure! Bad ass album- loaded with cool jams!

  • Fizzy, Fuzzy, Big and Buzzy is, and has always been, the best all-around album in my collection. Come back to Atlanta more!

  • check out Art Edwards (bassist for The Refreshment) on tour with a full band in suppport of his first solo record "Songs From Memory"! Tour dates below:

Mar 25 -- Smith's Olde Bar, Atlanta, GA

Mar 27 -- The End, Nashville, TN

Mar 28 -- KMOX Radio Promo St Louis

Mar 29 -- Lucas School House Music Room - St. Louis, MO

Mar 30 -- The Abbey Pub -- Chicago, IL

  • This makes me miss my high school girlfriend, my "first love," if you'll allow me to be sappy. Man, that was great stuff.

  • The man is still making music. Check out Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers. It's Indie only because he refuses to sign a contract.

  • I always thougth that Roger (lead singer) looked like a younger, very hot, Pauly Shore. He kinda even sounds like him. God bless the 90's!

  • Further proof that the 90's DID NOT suck.

  • The 90s did suck. The fact that a great band like the Refreshments weren't the #1 act the entire decade is proof that Generation Y are a bunch of retards.

  • 90's sucked?? your stupid man...Third eye Blind? Nirvanna? Blink-182? Green Day? Sugar Ray? Weezer? yea man next time think about stuff before you post it.

  • Hey Arturo, Prince of Irony, it's not "your stupid man". It's "You're stupid, man". "You're" means "you ARE" while "your" is simply a possessive pronoun. I'll let you slide on the missing comma. You were probably crying over Kurt Cobain's suicide to pay attention in English class that day.

  • man...if i look up the definition of smartass it would be you. I didn't say Nirvanna was the #1 band and i love them so much, i was just saying they were good at making music. I think Blink-182 is still the best band of the 90's.

  • You're right TheNeuman ...Bad Religion didn't start in the eighties and have lyrics ten times more aggressive and proactive. Tool couldn't play as well as Blink either; and overseas 90's acts like Borknagar, Sinead O'Connor, Tori Amos, Bjork, Opeth...that stuff sucked. I mean, compared to Blink 182.

    Hell, Pantera was lame.

Peach, Isis, Lustmord, everything on Amphetamine Reptile Records, not even Faith No More, nor ANY of Mike Patton's work for that matter, was as good as ...Blink 182.

    lol

  • Spiderman the cartoon!

  • now this is music my friend, what went wrong in the past years, what's with the eyeliner and screaming and crying and all this emo f*cked up hairdoes and clothes and crap, everybody needs to chill the f*uck out, and learn something from the 90's man

  • agree to that!.90's was the real best rocking years of my life!......miz this kinds of music......

  • best band to chill and drink to ever.

  • Or fire one up too, that even better!!!

  • this song brings me joy

    im my belly

  • ilikeydasong. <3. no its really good. they stole the flag thing from the who.

  • awesome stuff!! :)

check out roger (singer) & P.H.'s (drummer) new band - roger clyne & the peacemakers. they still do a lot of refreshments tunes in concert, and the new stuff is great, too (still fun, still drinkin', but a little more mature than goofy - but still fun).

  • Okay I thought so, I was watching them at Chase Field (home of the Arizona Diamondbacks) and I was like is that the guy from the refreshments? He made a new theme song for my boys the D'backs, which I love.

  • The Refreshments r the best.Period.(Shoot a rapper a day, helps with regularity =))

  • hey monira??? you fuckin ROCK!!!!! rock on brother, your awesome god bless you man

  • to hear more of these guys watch King of the Hill

  • I honestly miss this group (dont Laugh)

  • Lead singer looks like Pauly Shore but they still rock

  • sounds a little like pauly shore to. maybe it's true what they say. everyone has a twin somewhere.

  • Thanks D!!!

  • Am i the only one that thinks Roger Clyne looks like Pauly Shore? Ha!

  • holyshit man! i saw these guys when i was like 13 in omaha NB. my friend pat and i saw them at "edgefest" local radio gig. it was sugar ray, the refreshments, smash mouth. it was fuckin awesome! these were great bands. im so glad i grew up in the 90's anyone else?

  • i think the refreshments are waay better than smash mouth and sugar ray... they may not have been as popular but all of sugar ray's songs sound the same and smash mouth is just hella annoying cuz that song has been played waaaaaay too many fuckin times

  • Somebody should make a vid for Mekong

  • Totally agree, Mekong is one of the best ones out there

  • 120 Minutes! I loved that show. This song brings back great memories. Thanks for posting it. :)

  • Great song, Great band, never understood why they never got all that popular either...

  • In response to Nihins' comment. Brian Blush the Guitarist had some serious drug issues. Ripped off everyone around Him,Sold the rights to the king of the hill theme(Yahoos & triangles)for just a few hundred dollars!!!Woke up handcuffed to a hospital bed,did a couple of stints in rehab, and is now back in Chicago trying to get His life back together. I loved these Guys, they had so much promise, and were just a fun band! it's truly a shame.

  • I bought this album back in '96 and was totally blown away. It's quality music through and through. Yet they never got much airplay. I never understood thie either.

  • Well, for what it's worth they have been getting a ton of airplay in Grand Forks ND the last couple weeks...

  • One of the best. I still can't figure out how they never got bigger. These records are the kind you can listen to over and over in the car.

  • Damn, 10 years...

  • I loved this cd.. thanx for posting, I can smell the 1996 air when I listen today

  • Awesome. How is it great bands like this are unpopular when they're way better than the crap that's popular today? Damn emo kids.

  • What a great band! I never tire of them either. Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers are coming to Harpers Ferry in Boston 10/29/06. Lots of old Refreshment stuff and great new material as well.

  • pretty awesome band. I have the banditos album...

  • how old is this band?

I found one of their songs on my computer, probably from my roomate, and I downloaded the rest of their music.

    they're great.

message me with the year they're from :)

  • This album was out in 1996, but Roger Clyne still plays with the Peacemakers. They are awesome live and do a lot of Refreshment stuff. They will be in Boston Oct 29th at Harpers Ferry.

  • I just discovered this band through yahoo music. I can't believe I don't rememer them growing up, and I have NO IDEA how they are not more popular.

  • awesome stuff! very underrated group, wish we would've seen more of them.

  • One of those bands that shoulda been a lot bigger than they were.

  • Some One Needs to stick up "Banditos"

  • I got wheelie for $10 at Gibsons in Tempe... Always a great eve...

  • Cool,Im lookin at a ticket stub from 1996 when I saw them at a local pub. $10.00

It is still one of my favorite shows I've seen.I can listen to F.F.B.B over and over.

  • i love this. Thanks so much uploader. mwah! =)

  • I love the chimp! Too bad I can't find thier Banditos video anywhere...

  • Man brings back memories Thanks for the vid
