Cool video, i feed some stray cats in my neighborhood, some with help from a cat orginization who helped me capture them and they got spayed and neutered, That loud sound made them jump for sure, it took the mother a momment to come back and eat but the kitten just shook it off and kept eating, the mother reacted naturally following her instincs trying to be safe. It was great you fed them, hopefully things worked out for the kitties.

Some of these homeless cat videos seem to be filmed in SE Asia. The scenery seems strikingly similar from when I visited Cambodia and Thailand, and I can honestly say that there are so many stray cats around there, the locals just don't even care about them. All they do is hang around restaurants waiting for people to throw food under the table, which they do, mind you. Anyways, just putting in my two cents. Didn't mean to offend anyone. =/

Thats sad. Especailly the kitten, looks like it's eye is infected. Nice to see you're taking the time to be a human being, and at the very least, feeding them. Shows not everyone in this world is cold-hearted and selfish.

I do hope they got comfortable enough with you, to pick them up and either keep them as your own, or get them to a shelter where they can be properly kept until finding a permanent home.

i love cats and take very good care of my own but the sad truth is that there are so many strays out there. while I commend the person for this one act of kindness, what about all the homeless people in the US that are starving? when's the last time someone fed a homeless man or woman that was laying on the street half dead?

@To0t I don't think there are shelters in China (He spoke Mandarin, and the bike taxi thingy). Anywho, story like this is everywhere in China, if not everywhere else in the world. I did the same thing with a family of a mother and three kittens when I went to visit my aunt there, and now the felines won't leave my aunts door steps, LOl.

I think I hear the cameraman at :20 speaking in mandrain chinese when the cat is looking at him. I was confused at first cause he said, "Meow" (lol, a cat's call?) And then, "Go eat."

That loud noise scared the cats but it also scared me, too. O_o What a startling noise...

Depending on how long the mama cat was on her one, maybe she wouldn't allow you to just walk up to her. She may have mistrusted humans. So feeding her regularly may have gotten her used to being around her, and associated you with something positive, and eventually allowed the person who fed her to pick her up without a fight.

The kitten looked like it had a few health problems. One of them that was the most noticeable was it's eye. The mother looked fairly healthy except for the lack of weight. Were you able to befriend these cat's and give them a home?

I've been befriending stray cats since I could walk, and I always fed them first, and made sure they were comfortable around me.

You can't just see a stray cat and expect to pick it up. That's crazy talk. I'm sure this person helped them eventually
