  • very awesome...at the same time I can see why it was cut...it's pretty heavy.

  • MY HEARTTTTTTT.

  • awesome... wish this scene was in the movie :'(

  • *TEARBENDS

  • I- I need to go watch this movie again.

  • Trying not to sob...

  • Why the fuck was this cut?!

  • I'm glad I was able to see this, but I think it's too dark to have been part of the movie. Stitch's character wasn't this sadistic in the final product. A very touching and emotional scene though

  • @eternalyintheshadows Indeed...

  • Oh my god. the emotions from watching that.

  • Comment removed

  • Right in the childhood! ;___;

  • I'm glad they removed it.

  • god that made me sad :(

  • Note the moral of this scene. "You don't let your family die!"

This scene, that moral, were cut from the final product. Conclusion: They want us to kill our families. :B

  • Lilo: *attacked by birds* "Stitch, help me!"

Stitch: "Hehehe." *sits back and smiles*

Between this and the "YOU'RE ALL GOING TO DIE!" scene, it looks like all the deleted material was just trolling. XD

  • i teared up

  • rip in peace

  • @javajunkie1961 R.I.P. means 'Rest in peace.' So you're saying, "Rest in peace in peace."

  • Right in the childhood.

  • Oh so that fish is pudge. I never understood who it was when mentioned in the movie.

  • They need to teach kids in Hawaii not to fuck with seagulls.

  • ;A; Although I'm happy this isn't the movie, I'm glad I saw this.

  • They need to teach kids in Hawaii about the food chain

  • before i even clicked on this,i know that stitch was responsible for his death.somehow.

  • D: so sad but amazing! chris sander = <3

  • ITS GOOD THE DIDN TPUT IT IN AS BEFORE STITCH PUDGE WAS HER ONL YFRIEND AND IN THE SERIES PUDGE PLAYES AN IMPORTAN TPART H ESHOULD HAVE JUST GOTTEN INJURED OR SOMETHING OTHER WISE IT WOULD BE LIKE 5 SAD PARTS IN THE MOVIE INSTEAD OF 4

  • @77sylva WHY ARE YOU TYPING IN ALL CAPS?!?!?!? ಠ_ಠ

  • I think it was a good idea to avoid this scene... In the movies and show, we never saw Stitch killing something. I found it a little out of character for Stitch to just sit there while Lilo was screaming for help, and he was even smiling and chuckling a little. People would've complained and this movie would've suffered with this scene, even if it is a great and touching scene.

Stitch is mischievous to a certain level, but not sadistic, at least not now.

  • holy shit

  • Idk about putting it into the movie, it does seem a little dark, but I wish they would have at least completed animation and put it in as a deleted scene.

  • shes an idiot for taking the fish outa the water in the first place

  • touching and beautiful and sad, certainly would've added alot to the movie, but I believe it is to dark.

  • NO this is way too dark for this movie. This film wasn't that serious.

  • I wish they kept this in.

  • BAAAAAAAAAAAAAWWWW!!!!!!!

  • they deleted this scene cus every kid that saw it would be crying lol

  • @AniMagination15

*sniffles* B-but I'm 16 BWAAHAHA *Sobs into arm*

  • @AniMagination15 I'm 18 and I'm near tears! I would have been bawling my eyes ut if I saw this as a kid!

  • @Mikakitten1724 out*

  • This is sad, but beautiful :)

  • poor pudge :'(

  • I love the music at the end. It fit the scene perfectly. And they definetely should've kept this in the movie/show.

  • THIS IS SAD!! No wonder they cut it from a kids movie. Though I must admit it gives dimension and depth to both Lilo and Stitch.

  • All I have to say is that Chris Sanders is one hell of an amazing person. He was the director of both Lilo & Stitch and How to Train Your Dragon, and he was the one that pitched the idea of Mufasa's Ghost to Disney during the making of The Lion King.

  • PUUUDDDGGEEE!!!!!! NOOOO!!!! NOOTT PUDDGGEEE!!!!! WHHHYYYYY!!!!!! *headwall x10* B-b-but he controlled the weather :'( lol

  • I wish they kept this in the movie. It has much more emotion then where stitch runs away with the uglyduckling book. Also this scene is NOT dark have any of you seen "The black couldron" thats the movie that scared me as a kid. Cartoons were also way darker in the past. Overprotective parents should shove it! When I was a kid I didn't know what happened to Lilo's parents even when she said "It was rainy and they went for a drive." I was like...then what? They ran away? Disney should've left it.

  • Just this two-minute scene makes me feel so much more emotion than the entire Twilight series.

  • @TheInuLogical True, but the making of a pb&j sandwich has more emotion than the Twilight series... Not that this scene ins't amazing.

  • OH MY GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I like the darkness of the deleted scenes :( but I guess its "children's movie" and they have to ease up on it.

  • This would have been the greatest Disney movie ever if they left this in. I cried!

  • They shouldn't have deleted this from the movie... It's a good scene that ads a lot of emotion!

  • ok i cried. weeped.

  • OMG!! im so glad this wasnt in the movie. omg. i wouldve died if pudge died/was attacked. was cringing the whole time this video was playing. omg. pudge was so cute with the pb&j-sandwiches. argh. it wouldve been so sad to see pudge dead!! D:

  • cried

  • jesus that was pretty brutal , I can see if tehy where trying to do a kids film why they would remove it :P but I not sure about the distortion of her though, dont like the style.

  • Poor Pudge.

  • Who drew this and where did you get it from??

  • Lilo is such an amazing character, and you can see that in this scene. Amazing animation!

  • I SO LOVE STITCH

  • Those 13 dislikes came from that Four eyed freak Mertle

    that vile immigrant

  • @ALEXIP1003 vile immigrant??

  • @ALEXIP1003 myrtle wouldnt hate this she would love it cuz she likes to see lilo sad

  • Too sad for a family film

  • 1. I think they should've kept the part before pudge dies

    2. If pudge actually died I think I would kill myself

  • The fact that someone called this an 'old Disney movie' makes me feel ridiculously old.

  • @TheHatheist What the heck?! Who!

  • @TheHatheist

I know right, I was 11 when this movie first came out.

  • aaaawww.. this is such a sad scene, it's amazing. i miss old disney movies so much

  • Damn, even in a deleted scene thats only 2 min, so much works goes into it. The emotion and power of the situation is overwhelming. I wish I had the patience for animation.

  • Upon Stitch kissing Pudge's fin, Pudge jumped and commited suicide like a retard.

  • Normally I'm a big fan of having darker moments kept in kids films, however I'm not a fan of this scene and am glad it was left out. I can see what they were going for, but it just doesn't seem to work. Thanks for sharing :D

  • 1:41 What were those? Gravestones for Lilo's parents?

  • I kind of wish this scene was kept in. She visited Pudge each day because she was afraid of the weather since her parents died in bad weather. Pudge dying, and her letting go of Pudge showed her letting go of her parent's death. It added a whole new dimension to the movie.

  • @OboePirate your right .i think they should remake this movie with thedelited schenes like this

  • Dang...

  • Oh, no... Pudge died? I wanna cry, now... I loved Pudge, too... He didn't have a big part, but I just loved Lilo & Stitch so much that I loved every character in it, no matter the size of their part... I feel so depressed, now... And to boot, one of my favorite characters was responsible for his death... :'( All this time I thought Pudge was still alive... I'm actually crying, now... :'(

  • @SergeantLuke i completely agree. this was way too cruel and out of character for Stitch. good thing they kept it out :)

  • Oh no! What's going to happen with the weather now?!?!?

  • Eh... this scene is pretty bad. I know what they were going for here, but Stitch laughing casually as Lilo tries to fight off the birds was WAY too much, even for him, and the dialogue afterwards seems forced, as does Stitch's sudden remorse for something he didn't give a damn about a single minute ago.

Furthermore, as you can see by the fact that it was deleted, the movie simply didn't need this scene- it was just yet another scene saying "Stitch is a dick but he's getting better".

  • I, too, am glad they left this scene out of the movie. It just felt a bit too forced, as another youtuber said in the comments.

  • Someone really likes making Lilo suffer. It's like they hired John Wayne Gacy as an executive producer.

  • Lilo and Stitch is such a good framework for talking about things that are actually signficant to children. As much as I love all the princess stuff, a lot of Disney plots are too adult. There is so much depth here beyond a marriage plot. I wish they would do more of this.

  • I saw this scene for the first time today, and I was surprised with the sinister, yet emotionally charged theme. The last time I saw anything this successful, it was in The Lion King, in the days when concepts weren’t so “censored”. It’s such a shame that this was discarded; it might have been a bit much for children but it would have made an effective steering point for the plot. Is it necessary that all animated movies be aimed for children?

  • am i the oly oe who personaly think they shouldve kept this?

  • I love this scene. I dont think kids would fully comprehend it. But adults would. And darker then THOND? Hardly. One of the songs was about Frollo lusting after Esmarelda. And if she wouldnt be with him he would burn her at the steak. :/ No where near as dark.

  • I heard Lilo and Stich was suppose to come out during the 1980s.

  • Should have kept it in. This scene is black comedy, something kids' films need more of. Also, it would demonstrate to the parents of the kids watching the depth which Disney could reach in melancholy.

  • Well that was dark

  • Wow while I appreciate the thought behind the scene...it is so amazingly depressing (It adds to the sense of Lilo's lonliness but my god)

  • that was morbid

  • I LOVE The Hunchback of Notre Dame and that was a dark film but this was, in my opinion, darker then even that, it was good they left it out.

  • omg this is so sad i'm glad they left it out lilo already lost her parents and now she lost her pet

  • Dark but it really worked. :3

  • maybe that was because it would have been stupid if lilo forgive stitch after killing one of her est friends

  • OMG CRYING. CRYING HARD. :( i love storyboards <3

  • im glad they left this out

  • I am VERY glad they didn't put that in the movie. Probably would have traumatized my little cousin to death.

  • It is not so much that Stitch killed Pudge. It was more that he exhibited depraved indifference to just about anyone or anything.

  • The part with pudge was sad...but no ones commenting on how depressing it is when you see her parents graves. It would have been too dark.

  • Comment removed

  • I think the reason lilo thinks so much of pudge is because she thinks he controls the weather and rain killed her parents so she thinks he'll keep the rest of her family safe.

  • lilos pretty stupid i mean who the fuck pulls a fish out of the water and puts it in a dogs face. i mean i know shes a little girl but shes old enough to understand the simple logic that fish need to stay in the water

  • I actually think this would've been too dark for the film. Even though Pudge was just a fish I think it woulda been too sad if he'd died.

  • crying

  • i think they should have put this in the film. when you see this scene, you feel something. Something i can't explain. stitch does bad but when he sees he hurt lilo, he feels bad. first sign that stitch is not all evil

  • im SO glad that this scene was taken out of the first movie and Pudge made it in some of the episodes of lilo and stitch when it became a show

  • That was a good scene. Its to bad it wasn't put in I think it would have added to the movie as a whole. I was a bit teary eyes with this to.

  • i hate Lilo

  • :'( Pudge.....I almost started crying from that rough pencil test.

  • Stitch is like a sith lord here... :D

  • DAMMIT STITCH

  • Stupid SkyRats, before watching this i thought pudge was alive... This made me sad.

  • 1:45 Oh, God. Is that a grave? I understand why this was cut out. That's pretty heavy stuff. But it would have really added to the film. I kinda wish they kept it.

  • meh.. they should have made the scene bit less dark. Cant imagine when this would take place - Stitch didn't struggle with any sympathy at the beginning and wouldn't do something like that near end

After all Stitch sitting in the forest was a big stretch already

btw Disney have willingly or unwillingly scratched many good ideas. for example most notable I know was in Lion King, where Scar actually wins his final fight (thouh dies together with the whole rock in flames) That was deep.

  • Wow stitch just sits there and smiles and laughs, very classy of you stitch (not really) at least they cut it out

  • At least this never happen so pudge is alive

  • ... SHE took the fish out of the water! It's HER fault the fish died. All Stitch was trying to do was throw it back in the water but he just fell short. And she goes blaming him for killing it when it was really the birds who did.

  • I am soo happy they left this part out, I would of cried till the end of the movie T^T

  • lilo believes pudge can control the weather. lilo's parents died in a rainy car crash ....

  • SHIT. Really glad they cut that one.

  • Stitch didn't kill him. The birds did.

  • @ACluelessKid

    I blame Osama!

  • um, why was there a tombstone with Lilo's name on it? O.o

  • @YarunoDoragon I think the tombstones were of her parents, and maybe the name Lilo on the tombstone might have been her mother's second name or something. We won't know unless we either search for information or ask Chris Sanders personally.

  • @Gutslove another reason could possibly be that Stitch imagined it the moment he realized what graves were for. He could've imagined that Lilo would've died because of him if he carried on like this.

  • i think another reason pudge died cause she took him out of the water

  • Well I don't know how much Lilo knows about fish, but by taking it out of the water she was, unknowingly, suffocating the thing.

  • @kyuubinaruto17

You do realize that it takes more than just a few seconds for a fish to die out of water, right? Entirely plausible that in a minute, both she and Stitch could've kissed him and set him back in the water.

  • SOOOO SAAADDD!!!!

  • I think this could have been a good catalyst for Stitch, when he starts to turn good. It seems to be a more visible push towards him changing.

At the same time, it seems a little dark. I know that's an odd thing to say compared to other disney movies, but this didn't seem to fit with the theme of the story. It also gave more of an impression of actual cruelty rather than Stitch's normal unknowing/innocent cruelty.

It's an interesting concept, but the movie didn't miss anything by keeping it out.

  • @MissEnacragus It didn't have any reason for Stitch turning good as eyeofthetiger1308 said. Also, Stitch was pretty smart like when he hid behind Lilo to prevent getting shot.

  • I feel O.O

  • This scene was really mind-boggleing. I am not happy nor sad this scene was dropped, I don't really know how to feel. It really makes you think though, and I can appreciate that.

  • I'm gonna go against the general consensus here and say that I'm glad that this scene got left out. It's unnecessarily dark and feels like a more forced way of getting Stitch's character development going. The scene in the backyard and the scene with the Ugly Duckling book do everything this scene does much better, and if they had included it, it may have gotten a bit repetitive with Stitch having the same epiphany like, four times.

  • Well at least no one stated animating this scene before it got dropped, that would have been a real bitch to the animators. still i really wish it wasn't dropped, then the movie will be appreciated for what it is.

  • @sygo7g one of the best films in my opinion. I love the iron giant! :D

  • "I /needed/ you."

That line carried so much weight. It's a shame this didn't quite make it into the film. Poor Pudge.

  • I'm really glad they took it out, actually, because even though it brought in more character development, it's a little too sad in addition to everything else! Poor Pudge!

  • this should have been in the film.

  • ;A;

  • NO! WHO"S GONNA CONTROLL THE WEATHER NOW?

  • Oh god that was so depressing...

  • I wish they'd kept this in...

  • Should have kept it in. Nothing wrong with making a kid's film a little darker.

  • Oh, that was so cruel!!!

  • 1:45 woah wth happened to the quality

  • @thelapointe Storyboard panels for animations are usually drawn in less than 2 minutes, just so that it makes it easier for the artist to not get hung unto a good drawing of a bad idea. Clarity of the panel plays a big role, too, so sketchiness is alright as long as the audience understands what they're looking at. :)

  • The first Pelekais

    Lilo's Father-Reverend Bedford Eustace Pelekai

    Lilo's Mother-Governess Martha Pelekai

  • @ALEXIP1003 Ah, now I got it. Lilo buried Pudge in the graveyard where her parents are buried too, and when Stitch reads "Lilo" on the gravestones he fears that he could end up to kill her friend due to his destructive nature, and feels sorry. Is that so?

  • Comment removed

  • It's a depressing scene, and I love Pudge the fish..but keeping this in would have been such a good thing..

  • I wish they'd left this in. I mean, sure it's too dark, but it would've made so much more sence, like why you never see pudge again, and many other things. . .

  • dang, stitch is an asshole xD

  • @StickyRice43 He didn't do it on purpose.... T_T

  • That was...dark.

  • this could have won an oscar!!!

  • Aw, poor Pudge D:

  • and people wonder why i don't like birds.......

naw its not their fault but still poor everyone in this scene: pudge, lilo, and sticth

  • WHY WAS THIS DELETED?! So nice! ;~;

  • love lilo and stich as it is, but i think if they kept this part in it would hae added alot to the film.

  • Oh god... because because clearly this movie wasn't weepy and heart breaking enough. If they had left this in, all the kids wouldn't have been able to make it to the end.

That being said, it would have helped a bit in character development....

  • NOOO PUDGE!!!!!! I is a sad panda now. ;n;

  • Oh. My. God.

I just had an Evangelion flashback.

  • @Princess6496 Ohhh boy, you too? "No! Stop! Save him Lilo! It's Asuka all over again! Nooooo....!"

  • this scene was sort of horrifying/unsettling with her screaming, i'm not completely upset it was cut

  • I pretty much agree with everything eyeofthetiger1308 said.

Although I was ten when this movie came out. If this scene had been in it... I definitely would have cried lol.

    Awwww Pudge :(

  • this would have been a good scene to keep in

  • This wouldn't have worked without the bit at the very end, in the graveyard. The way Stitch just slinks out and sits there, covering his face with his hands...it's totally something a very young kid would do after learning the realities of death for the first time.

  • i dont know why thet didn't put it in, as the nostalgia critic said, "EVERY FRICKIN DISNEY MOVIE HAS THE SADDEST MOMENTS" i really feel bad that they didn't put this in

  • I think this may have been a good scene to keep in the film
