what is this finish on the guitar... it's just right.. it's really light. is it sunburst?? the sunbursts i've seen so far are to flashy... not so smoth between colours
I have a few guitars and play a little,But you inspire me to improve every time I look at one of your clips. The guitars seem to an extension of your soul rather than a musical instrument.Thank you for your insperation.
Nice. As a guitar tech, I appreciate your approach - the looper is a nice touch too. Why don't most players get it - a good instrument, a real amp, a good sense of touch and tune = great tone.
nice playing! i'm trying to decide which pickups to buy and now these kloppmann may be nice as well, just saw that kloppman has many different models. there's too much options! :)
a bit off topic, but, i've noticed you did a version on Peter Green Slabo Day, do you have any idea what kind of amp he was playing on the mayall "a hard road" and early fleetwood mac stuff, Drifting and Someday after a while... That tone is amazing.
Hi! Im thinking of swaping out the pickups in my les paul, but I don't know wich ones, I want it sound like a PAF and very articular, you played many guitars, wich pickups in your opinion is the best for a PAF tone? suggestions?
Nice piece, nice tone. I love the sound of a clean LP. It's amazing what you can do over a simple chord riff like that. I had this piece playing in my head the other day driving to work.
I like your phrasing; it reminds me to keep my notes a little sparce until they're ready to come out more densely.
Grial is how they might pronounce "grail" down under. A grail is a chalice.
The holy grail is supposedly the chalice Jesus and his disciples drank from at the last supper. Hence the word "holy". People have been searching for the holy grail for centuries.
When anyone decrees any item to be "the holy grail" they mean it to be the end of their search for whatever they were looking for. In this case it would be tone, something we will all search for while we play.
You've got to be one of my favorite guitarists of all time! I love watching your vids! Your style influences my own more than anyone else... including peter green, jimmy page, or knopfler. Love it! Danke!
maybe you could plug in an epiphone les paul model but use the same amp setting and effects to show the differences in sound and playability...would be great of you!! thanks.
"takes to much space".What i mean by that is that it sounds so loud/(hardcore)it simply covers the other instruments(especially in the hands of an unexperienced/average guitarist)
Am I, the only person on earth that think that this guitar is overestimated, draws too much attention these days when you have so many other guitars with better craftmanship and overall sounding(prs for example).
well, my friend's father has a 58' Les Paul. He let me try it, and then i was at a guitar store, long n mquade and tried the re issue. i found that there was a some diffrences in the sound and feel, but not a huge diffrence. but that only comes with getting to play them both for only about 30-45 mins. either way it was a privilage to play them both
What is the difference between the Kloppmann 58 PAFs and Kloppmann 59 PAFs? Is it that there wound different or are the 58s alnico 2 magnets and the 59s alnico 5, or vise versa or a combination of both? I couldn't find that information out on Kloppmann's website.
Hach Gregor, ich weiß bei deinen Videos nie worauf ich neidischer sein soll...auf die tollen Les Pauls oder die tollen Töne die du ihnen entlockst...danke!!
I've been hooked on your vids for the last few days. Great stuff! Breaking in a (new) fender vibrolux as I type this. Currently using a tele and a zendrive as well as an ocd. I love the tone of the okko though. How does it sound with single coils?
The price of those pickups is absolutly outstanding, ridiculous. Twice the price of Fralin pickups and i don't hear anything better at all...

This comment has received too many negative votes show
I looked all over youtube and heard a friend with a "les paul"(gibson american made ofc)
and it sure does sound great with some effects, pedals, etc....
BUT in a clear channel it simply sucks....
A les paul doesn't have that much impressive versatility.
That guitar is made to play so loud IMO in order to cover her imperfections concerning tone general sound quality,
Other thing i noticed is that when you play with a band that guitar doesn't compromise quite well with other instruments,it simply
