@NYDM101 Wrong, GNR died so long time a go. This is Axl and the new kids on the block. For Slash, duff and the rest GNR is just a good memory. But now they are working ond new projects, everybody wants to play with them. the only faggot who thinks there is still GNR is Axl. He was great, I repet, he was great, but he has not done any good new project. Time goes by, and he should accept that time has done his work on his physic and obviously on his tonge. He cant sing as he used to do it.

I differ with that, I saw them live a few weeks ago I believe that while he doesn't have the stamina of a 25 year old anymore, he sounds far better now than how he used to sound in a lot of presentations of the 90's. But hey, that's just my opinion. Now, I do believe he used to sound better in the 85 - 88 period but I thinks it was just due to his age. The recent live just blew my mind, fucking brilliant!

Izzy did not leave because of Axl and in fact Izzy has said that Axl is the only frontman he will ever deal with. Izzy left because he was clean at the time and couldn't put up with slash and Duff's heavy drinking and drugs to where slash and Duff both almost killed thenselves.Izzy never thought that GN'R would take off like they did and he didn't like the touring scene and felt it was best to leave instead of pretending he enjoyed touring. Izzy after he came clean was shunned.

He was so scared from the experience of working with a frontman like Axl that he denied his opportunity to be in velvet revolver. Izzy was annyoed at Axl showing up late, stopping shows and bad management of the band. Izzy himself actually took just about as many drugs as Slash and Duff until he got clean.

buckethead and bumblefoot are great... but nothing they write will last as long as some of slash's riffs... those two are great guitarists, but slash is a rock legend... he doesn't need to be super fast and know all the arpeggios... he is simply a "cat in the hat" (; you just can't go against him... he has done so much for rock...
