@Computerall I still don't see why you can't compare the two. Both platforms are trying to compete with this method of a CPU plus onboard graphics. Maybe in terms of raw processing power they differ too much, but the point is the same. Removing the need for a discrete graphics card for budget users whilst still retaining game/3D capability and a usable CPU.

@LinusTechTips keep in mind that Dual Graphics mode only functions fully in DX10 and DX11 games! Stumbled across that somewhere on the interwebs lol dx9 games dont take advantage of dual graphics unfortunately :( so its probably not cpu bound at all, just dual graphics isnt working. its most likely using the HD6670 by itself at those low settings (makeing a small increase over the built in 6550D) since most of those games run dx9 on lowest settings

The four discrete graphics cards currently supported are the Radeon HD 6670, HD 6570, HD 6450 and the HD 6350.

other cards will work fine on their own, but not in dual graphics.

what you should do now is take the intel and use the 6670 as graphics, compare to just the APU and APU with crossfire.

i like the APU, it sounds like it can be an awsome budget game cpu choice.

get apu, play your favorite games on medium or low

when u the money get a dedicated card, i would skip the xfire and just jump on the 6850 though.

But I have one question... I often read about micro stuttering in Dual Graphics mode on APUs which make the game nearly unplayable... What is your experience?

@Topulis91 The A8-3850 = HD6670 would beat the Phenom II 965 = HD6670 when it comes to gaming. The A8-3850 will run Adobe flash CS5.5 just as good as the phenom. For price to performance ratio the A8 kicks the phenom's ass. Also the A8 boosts the 6670 performance upto 30%. The phenom does not help at all. Go with the A8. There awsome!

@Topulis91 If you're planning to play BF3, I'd recommend a GTX560 at least to you. On the map Operation Metro on BF3 a 9500GT got around 10~27 FPS with graphs on LOW. But on Caspian Border, it was absolutely unplayable. I have a core i5 2500k + gtx560 and i'm not playing it on ultra (playing on high) with my full hd monitor (fps from 30 ~ 60). If it's a gaming machine, forget APU and go for a CPU + Graphic card.
