  • manual override = smash smash smash

  • This is the WORST railway ever, and as a fan of rail transport, I am speaking in hindsight of some of the most apocalyptic derailments and collisions in history. Abergele, Amargh, Clayton Tunnel and Quintinshill (where a signalman FORGOT there was a train outside his cabin, leading to the deaths of 226 people) - all of these were all caused by human error and technological complacancy, and all all pale to the inanity of Grafton's system! There's not even a circuit breaker or main power interupt!

  • look under joe's seat at 3:00

    another exposed human finger

  • Good episode where Jeff and Company are in danger for once. Like the way Jeff calls his own sons for help - oh the irony.

  • Just love the incidental "space" music whenever a new scene opens with TB5, so 60s'.

Might down load it to my phone for a ringtone.

  • QUUIETTT!

  • 7.15 ding dong!

  • lol at how the "master criminals" are talking LOUD AS HELL

  • Friggin' hell, I get the thing about not having drivers but they don't even have an emergency stop button... how much money did THAT save?

  • @PumpkinDave Somehow you posted one of the best (if not the best) comments I've seen on YouTube. Not kidding.

  • @PumpkinDave

Its something TFL will do in a few years time just to save money!

  • @PumpkinDave

    Maybe a few cents??

maybe enuff to get a hotdog frm the local vendor :P

  • The damaged section of track just HAD to be over a huge drop! Imagine if it was close to the ground.

  • I SAW IT!!

  • WHERE'S THE FINGERTIP??

  • lol, "whatever you do keep it quiet" BOOM!!

  • LOL @ Parker's snoring :3

  • I expect the major part of the budget for this episode was spent on many yards of curtain rail(monotrain track)

What I can't understand is the Pacific Atlantic Monorail Co, didn't want to spend any money paying train drivers. Yet was happy to spend money paying for a fleet of manned Helijets to fly around observing the track and trains.

  • Train drivers need to be trained for one specific job, and need to be trained for a specific way of driving the monorail. Helijet pilots can be taken from anywhere, and just need to fly around and radio their friends

  • If you ask me, the silliest part is not putting in any manual controls, so that even if these helijets do spot a problem (as in this episode), nothing can be done anyway! May as well not bother in the first place...

  • Yeh no manual controls on the train, yet the engine has a huge doorbell button for Brains to keep pressing.

  • @mukatuna Well, they need something to turn the power on originally; maybe that's what the button's for?

  • they probably got ordered to have some sort of safety suveilance...using the helijets is easier than using un-mobile guard/signal houses because you'll need to build more as they cant move.

  • If you pause it at 2:48 in the bottom right corner see can see someone's fingertips

  • oh yeah! lol damn i'llnever be able to watch this in the same light!

  • vheck out the univited where Tin Tin says "oh mr tracy how terrible what could have happened..."etc

  • Those are probably THE fingertips of THE Derek Meddings...consider yourself very luck to be able to catch a glimpse ;)

  • why

  • because Meddings was the special effects man for all of Gerry Andersons shows; from supercar all they way through to Space 1999. He also did the original superman films miniatures and spfx! He was the best, he also designed a good deal of the vehicles. He did the rockets, sinking stuff, explosions everything!

  • I very sure that gerry anderson is thinking of doing a new animated series about thunderbirds just like they did with captain scarlet. That would be brillant

  • would be pretty interesting, the New CS is pretty good in it's own right, but the puppets and mild peril do it for me lol

  • @jvfass This seems to be a common occurence in Supermarionation "stunts" where bridges are involved. In the 'NOOSE OF ICE' episode of "CAPTAIN SCARLET", you can see a hand flip over the Hotspot Tower bridge, as it falls into the lake.

  • @jvfass Well spotted eagle eyes

  • @bobbj77 - Thanks

  • Yayyyy! I remember Thunderbirds from when I was about 5. 40 years later, I get to see them again. Still enjoy watching them as much as I did 40 years ago. Thanks for posting them.. Please keep them available!
