I have tried to reset the NS Threshold when in manual but what I seem to get is the Master Volume value. If I press the NS Threshold button to adjust it's value which button or knob do I use to do this, as I said if I use the Master Vol knob I get that value and can't save a new value for the NS.
can you explain how the od/ds solo value is set (or is it just on or off) as this seems to be causing a great deal of noise, also the ns thershold and master vol when creating new patches?
@johnderbyshire You can turn the od/ds on or off. The noise is probably due to the ns threshold being down. You can use the buttons to control how much noise is filtered out, but too much filtering can cause your tone to be choked. I recommend looking up some tutorials. That helped me a lot when starting out.
Great video man!i have the same thing but I cant get a clean note when I use distortion, can you help me man?I play mostly BFMV songs..sorry for my english..xD
@TheFireball100 yes..i'm a beginner and i just bought the me-20..i use bank 5 patch 3 preset,but I can't get a clean sound that I want,thought that I could use your help..thanks!
@Cirqu3 Well, I think for a clean sound just turn off all the distortion. Maybe use the compression setting. Have you tried the EZ Edit? What type of clean sound are you looking for? By clean sound you are meaning like an acoustic sound right? If so, I'm sure I can help you get a sound you like.
@geronimoaris Ah yes...I used demos on youtube to help me. Perhaps I can make a demo some time...but it's fairly easy to use. Activate the EZ edit function, and use the knobs to control what you are looking for. The first knob controls your distortion and stuff....and so on...you'll get the idea when you play with it. It's basically just presets built in for you. :)
@ADiEYJr What you are hearing is what it will sound like, most likely, if you do that. You need to get an interface of some kind between it and the computer. But I'm not the guy to ask about that. I'm still trying to find the answer. Right now I just hook up the line-in from my amp's headphone jack to the computer's mic jack so it doesn't sound so digital as this does. So in direct answer to your question: yes, it would sound better if you connected some other hardware in between them. :)
I don't know why everyone prefers Boss to Digitech. This shit sounds wayy to digital. My bro's RP500 sounded pretty close even with his $200 Marshal combo amp. Seriously.
@AirHendrix91 Well, one thing that is the problem is the fact that i have it hooked directly to my computer. If i run it to my amp, then the computer, the sound it not as digital. I've also improved my tone since then.
@TheFireball100 I gotcha. My brother took a while to get his Digitech Rp500 to sound awesome with his amp so it takes time, I know.
Cool stuff, its just that it was a bit noticeable digital but don't take offense though. I might be getting a Digitech RP500 this week so any comparison is helpful especially this video in regards to the presets available on the pedal.
@TheFireball100 Just got a Digitech RP500 the other day and most of the presets were so digitally harsh sounding though with an hour of my time I managed to get a nice drive for a Kings of Leon sound (sounds exactly like them), the Strokes tone from their song, "Soma", and a sweet Pavement tone that sounds exactly like their sound Blackout. It took a shit load of tweaking and the one thing I found to work in order to get an organic sound is to tweak the eq at the highest volume setting.
@AirHendrix91 Yeah, I don't think my little Boss is capable of getting a much better sound than what I have got now - of course not what the video shows - lol, I think a more expensive one will suffice.
@laksanaferuz Talking about by Gary Moore? Never heard of that...but i looked it up... perhaps i can post a setting like that whenever i make another video of better presets. I can't make any promises...i have other requests i'm working on as well... and getting busy in college.... but some free time will be soon and maybe...just maybe I'll do another video soon with that setting, as close as i can get it. Cheers dude! The request is in my queue so i won't forget. Again... can't make promises :)

Love This Pedal Man...Is It Possible To Get Slash Tone With It? ><"
HinamoriMomoe 1 year ago
@HinamoriMomoe Not familiar with Slash, but I suspect so with a good amp. It has a metal tone on it after all.

1:27 how you have that sound effect? how you get that effect?
carlitox3956 2 years ago
I used my whammy bar.
Used a natural harmonic and dumped the bar down to get that sound. :)
