Is it ilogical, dereasonnable, foolish to think the bible was written by man, not by god. To trust the bible, you have to trust the man who said he heard god's words! A few centuries ago, people thought the earth was flat, God, through His prophet Isaiah, wrote in His book, "God sits upon the circle of the earth ." Of course, we know a circle is round. Long ago, people had the notion that the earth was being held up by a very strong man or perhaps a huge elephant. However, long before scientists learned that was untrue, God had written in His book that He had hung the earth on nothing (Job 26:7). praise God.

"Genesis (actually a Greek word)" is the English Translation of the Hebrew "BeReshiyt."

Genesis IS NOT a direct translation. Many of the details (especially, GOD) were ALTERED to conform more with European beliefs.

In Hebrew, the text "In the beginning" can more accurately mean: IN SUMMARY. Hence, the texts proceeds with BULLET POINTS - not the details. And the details are categorized in CHAPTERS ... not "days."
