Hi Lisa, can you give an advice how to properly remove gel eyeliner ? I love its effect, but I use it just on special occasions, because it's so difficult to remove..I use Bioderma cleanser, just as you.
Exceptional tutorial; it has helped me achieve the winged liner look more easily than before :). This is already a challenge for me because I have uneven mono lid eyes, where my left eye is slightly larger and has a more prominent "crease" than my right eye. It's funny because for my right eye, I have to draw on a really thick line in order to similarly mirror my left eye.
This is a lovely look, but do you know any tricks for people with curly eyelashes? My hair is curly, which in turn has caused my eyelashes to be naturally curly, so I always find applying eyeliner to be quite difficult.
Btw, I love ALL your vids. I'm trying not to watch them all at once!
you say not to curl your lashes, but what if I have naturally curled lashed? I allways have problems with my lashes when I use eyeliners, the eyeliner gets on the tip of my lashes and they "get in the way" while I'm drawing the line; any sugestions?
This is a really great tutorial. I recently bought the maybelline gel liner and have been getting to grips with it - you definitely made me feel better about not getting the line neat straight away. The gel liner is really long wearing, but I think it can be quite difficult to correct mistakes! To get the flicks on both eyes even, I also sometimes hold the brush horizontally between my eyes to make sure I'm getting them the same height.
Hi Lisa, I've watched this several times now and get more from it each time. You've converted me to the gel pots over the liquid eye-liner. Still trying to master the flick but getting there. Thanks so much for sharing all your wisdom. xx
Hi-I found that the new type black pen liners was easier to use?!how long should your flick line go up-it seems to be quite short-only up to the end of the moving lid??-which mac brush did u use-I tried it with the Bobbi brown ultra fine brush-great video thanks
i really love this look!!! but i have a problem, i wear contact lenses. that been said, can i use a creamy eyeliner, without it, you know, getting in my eye? i heard that the liquid ones can leak into the eye, and i don't want that, cause it could lead to an infection. does this one dry on the eyelid well?
I would like to ask you, Lisa, wether you bought all of your makeup that you use in your perfect :) work or you like, got it from these companies? i'd love to know, cuz chanel, for example, is pretty expensive :) you know.. :) I don't mean to be rude or anything, I'm just curious :) btw, I love love love your videos :)
you should zoom in more often, so we can see how your lipstick is for example. sometimes if you just say which product you use we don't know what it is like :)
even though i can get the line to look the same in both my eyes then i look straight to the mirror i always see a difference, and now i know why, thats because of my eyes shape, one is a bit more visible and the other one is the "sad one" but no one has mentioned it before, yoyu made me realize that is possible and normal, and thats what really happens on my eyes, thank u Lisa!
i love all your videos, you've inspired me to stop looking like a slob all the time!! i just wanted to ask you about a specific type of eyeshadow i've been craving for ages that usually tends to compliment cat-eye make up. it's that sort of clear dewy type of eyeshadow, almost like no eyeshadow at all, but it's so pretty. like in the chanel eau tendre advert youtube.com/watch?v=Z6HAqs4KNvE do you have any recommendations? i can't seem to find anything on the high street
hmm, i just discovered your videos and was absolutely amazed by the most of them. that's why i was a little iritated after watching this one. your liner actually looks quite messy...? could it be that your gel liner is a bit dryed up, that's mostly the reason for me to get a messy line. eventhough i really don't want to say that i am in any sense of the term a pro when it comes to this, but i think it's way easier and looks better if you just pretend to extend the lower lashline to create a...
...guidline for the flick (unless that really would create a strange look, which is rarely the case).
maybe i did not get something right but i really don't have the intention to be rude or anything, i'm just confused cause your other videos were so much better.... sorry!
forgive me if its rude, but how do you keep your skin so great as such age, and is there anything i should do (im 17 now) so i can have a good skin when im older
when i draw a line with my eyes open and it looks ok and then i look in the mirror relaxed, the flick just makes stupid things because the skin above folds and so it gets corners that weren't there before. but when i draw the line with " relaxed" eyes it looks stupid when i close them ore look down. how do i find a compromise?
or am i just not supposed to wear liner like this ?
Can u make a video of how 2 get your bottom and top liner on cause I see girls that have a nice black circle around their eyes and I like it but I can't get it rite
I really cannot express how helpful your videos are! Could you please do a video catered towards darker skinned women as I often find it hard applying blush just right and choosing the right lipstick shade. Thank you x
Lovely! You remind me of Liv Tyler with the liner :) I noticed that you have noticeable veins in your nose area how do you go about concealing them? As I have a few myself. Also what camera do you use it seems to be the best quality Ive seen here on youtube.
Love this video, "quick and easy" is the truth!! A lot of make up artists have said "quick and easy" but it turned out either terrible on me or took a little more time and wasn't so easy. I created the perfect, most cutest cat eye with Lisa's tip. Thank you Lisa!!
You are amazing! I stumbled upon your videos quite by accident and am most happy that I did! You are truly a lovely woman, with a wonderful calming demeanor. Thank you for sharing your knowledge!

BTW - You are so pretty! Totally looked like Kristen Stewart around 2:23 onwards in that close up! :)
Hi Lisa. Thank you so much for doing these tutorials, I thoroughly enjoy them and learn a lot from them. :)
I have been doing the kitten flick eyeliner for years, but I've always used waterproof pencils, it just seems much simpler and quicker to work with than the liquid/creamy eyeliners. Is there a reason you prefer working with those instead of pencils?
Another Q: After applying the eyeliner and blinking a few times, I sometimes get a bit of it on my eyelid. Is there a way to avoid that?
Hi Lisa I absoloubtly love this look and wear it a lot I feel very confident with the applcation etc but I am interested in any tips for my eye shape as I have deep set eyes and I feel like this is not my ideal look but I love it too much. I don't have a smooth flat surface to draw on like some girls due to my eyes being deep set.
I've tried SO many make up tutorials here on youtube, but they've never worked - and then I watched this and I IMMEDIATELY got the look right!!! Thank yooouuu<3
lololol....you know when i first did this eyeliner i closed my eyes and drew in line in the wrong spot. i looked right initially, but when i opened my eyes it was obviously wrong. hooded eyes are a bit tricky. now keep them open!
Thank you so much Lisa! You give the best tutorial for kitten eyes that I've seen. I've actually used your tutorial to learn how to do this look and you are right, it does take some practice! I did want to let you know that I thank you kindly for doing this and it is a pleasure to watch and learn from you! Thanks again sweetheart!
I just discovered your channel and subscribed right away! You're very instructive and the lighting in your videos is very good. No need to add that you're very talented and beautiful!
I started to learn with liquid liner and it was a disaster x 10! I had black liner all over my eyelid lol! Then I went to pencil and much better. Finally, I bravely tried a gel liner and I am not too bad with it now. I am still working on it though. It's not perfect, but looks ok. Like everything else, practice, practice, practice! Thank you so much for this very helpful video! Carla

So helpful! What is the best shadow "look" for this liner--just a single nude color? I have blue eyes--what is your favorite brown gel liner? Thanks!! Lisa
@LisaLisaD1 my favourite brown gel liner is probably 'chocolate shimmer by bobbi brown....it seems to work on everyone. I would do a nude wash of something over the lid and then a little something neutral in the crease for a bit of depth. x
Was this helpful- are you kidding? It's spectacular! Haven't been able to master this even though it's one of my favs. Think this kinda detail is EXACTLY what I need!

Hi I just discovered your channel and I do enjoy watching your videos! This is off subject of this video but I was wondering what nail varnish you were wearing in this video? Thank you so much!
@MakeUpIsMyMedium The nail polish I'm wearing is a new Boots No7 one called 'Beanie' it comes out in March and its a fab shade. Thanks for subscribing, glad you like the vids! How did you find my channel btw? Lisa x
Thanks for responding, it is a fab shade! I came across your channel watching a video by pixi2woo. She had a video of some of the channels she liked to watch and yours was one of them! I hope I can get ahold of that polish when it comes out as I live in the U.S. Thanks again! Jessica
Hello Lovely Lisa Thank You ! for this video I love cream liners myself and some times I have a bit of trouble due to my hooded eye lid :O(..... I love all your videos oxox Thank You for them Melinda @~~>~~
@Bluefairy0173 Hi Melinda, try doing most of your shaping with your eye open so you can create the shape you want. So pleased you like the video and thanks for commenting x
Hi Lisa! Thank you, I love this vid, it's dead informative. Any chance you can do a video on Kohl liners and when and how to use them. Can you do a similar look with pencil liners for instance?
@knockedoutbyafly Yes you could do a similar thing with kohl pencil. It would give a softer effect but still nice. Or you could do a smudgy liner with kohl - tutorial coming soon! Thanks for watching x
@0oMarvelo0 it can if you do most of the shaping with your eyes open looking straight ahead. Aim to lift the liner at the outer edge before you get to the outer corner of your eye to create a 'lifted' look. Also you should shade your socket line with shadow to create more depth and shape before you start the liner, slightly extending the socket line out to elongate your eyes (blend this very well) Hope this helps x
I wanted to add that I just applied my gel eyeliner like you suggested and it worked out absolutely great and made me realize what I've done wrong in my liner application all along!
Thanks again for another great tutorial! Would you consider doing a tutorial on contouring for different face shapes? I have a long-ish, narrow face and hardly any cheekbones and find it really hard to contour! Oh, and I also left a comment in your 'Perfect Day', could you reply to that if you have time? Thanks! Anna x
Hi Lisa, thank you for all your tutorials, they are great. Im always waiting for you new videos, I check my fb everyday if theres any new video. You are highly addictive! lol. I admire you and I find your advices so helpful and so easy to follow.
I have tried this SOOO many different times and watched countless videos on how to do this and i'd just about given up as every time i do it i end up looking ridiculous. But your tips and your way of explaining things and showing how to do something make things seem easy, i cant wait to try this, i now understand why when i had drawn on my line and stepped back from the mirror to look, my line looked awful and patchy, thank you so much for this :) x
@adoringcarmine I'm so pleased you like the vids and thank you for being so sweet about my hair : ) Its the bane of my life, is frizzy and to sticks out all over the place AND on top of that I'm terrible at blow drying and styling so just give up and resort to leaving it natural lol x
I've been watching your videos and they are all superb, especially this one. Thank you for all the excellent tips, and making videos that are clear and pleasant to watch. Your voice reminds me a bit of Charlotte Gainsbourg.
This is the BEST video I've seen on how to create a flick...and trust me I've watched plenty with no success...Thank you so much and I look forward to your upcoming videos...oh and can you do one on applying false lashes the easy way??? I've tried with tweezers and my fingers and can't get them close enough yet off my real lashes which are quite long alone...Thanks again!! USA
As it has been said before, this is the best tutorial I've seen on applying eyeliner! Also I happened to be in England recently and purchased from Boots one of your designed foundation brushes and its divine! Thank you!
do you have anyy tips if your eye lashes are natually quite long and curly? i find it hard to apply liquid eyeliner becase they just get in the way and smudges everywhere
@SydellexX hey lucky you with long and naturally curled lashes - I wish mine were! It will be much easier for you with a creamy but long wear pencil so you can really massage it into the roots. Alternatively you can use a cream/gel like this but with a very short haired brush so there less chance your lashes will get in the way. x
This was so helpful! Thanks so much!

@MakeUpIsMyMedium The nail polish I'm wearing is a new Boots No7 one called 'Beanie' it comes out in March and its a fab shade. Thanks for subscribing, glad you like the vids! How did you find my channel btw? Lisa x
lisaeldridgedotcom 2 years ago 7
Thanks for responding, it is a fab shade! I came across your channel watching a video by pixi2woo. She had a video of some of the channels she liked to watch and yours was one of them! I hope I can get ahold of that polish when it comes out as I live in the U.S. Thanks again! Jessica

Hello Lovely Lisa Thank You ! for this video I love cream liners myself and some times I have a bit of trouble due to my hooded eye lid :O(..... I love all your videos oxox Thank You for them Melinda @~~>~~
Bluefairy0173 2 years ago
@Bluefairy0173 Hi Melinda, try doing most of your shaping with your eye open so you can create the shape you want. So pleased you like the video and thanks for commenting x

Hi Lisa! Thank you, I love this vid, it's dead informative. Any chance you can do a video on Kohl liners and when and how to use them. Can you do a similar look with pencil liners for instance?
knockedoutbyafly 2 years ago
@knockedoutbyafly Yes you could do a similar thing with kohl pencil. It would give a softer effect but still nice. Or you could do a smudgy liner with kohl - tutorial coming soon! Thanks for watching x

Hi
I have some questions : Does this work for a sort of droopy eyes or a rounded eyes??
Thanks.
0oMarvelo0 2 years ago

Thanks! Anna x

@adoringcarmine I'm so pleased you like the vids and thank you for being so sweet about my hair : ) Its the bane of my life, is frizzy and to sticks out all over the place AND on top of that I'm terrible at blow drying and styling so just give up and resort to leaving it natural lol x
lisaeldridgedotcom 2 years ago
@adoringcarmine thank you! I love Charlotte Gainsbourg and have done her make-up. Thanks for watching x

I've been watching your videos and they are all superb, especially this one. Thank you for all the excellent tips, and making videos that are clear and pleasant to watch. Your voice reminds me a bit of Charlotte Gainsbourg.

great video lisa :)
do you have anyy tips if your eye lashes are natually quite long and curly? i find it hard to apply liquid eyeliner becase they just get in the way and smudges everywhere
SydellexX 2 years ago 2
@SydellexX hey lucky you with long and naturally curled lashes - I wish mine were! It will be much easier for you with a creamy but long wear pencil so you can really massage it into the roots. Alternatively you can use a cream/gel like this but with a very short haired brush so there less chance your lashes will get in the way. x

okaay i will try these tips! thanks lisa! :) x
