I'm weary of using this after my database got corrupted within a week. Is this a rare occurrence? I am using Efficient Password Manager at the moment which has been solid but willing to give this a try again.
@TwoLeggedTriceratops Oh wow, I never had any probs with my database. The good news is... I back everything up nightly, so I can always revert back to one of the backups in case something happens.
@TwoLeggedTriceratops No problem... check out a recent video I just put out not long ago on backups, etc... shows how I have all my desktops and servers backing up nightly, automatically (I don't have to mess with it).
@mettta88 I use KeePass 2.15 (Installer EXE for Windows) - the classic is for the older versions, but I think the Pro version can now connect to the old versions as well as the new ones.
I use Norton. Everyone tells me that hackers love Norton b/c its so easy to hack. But I've used Norton for well over 5+ years now and I haven't encountered any problems yet!
I'm also old school. I write down all of my passwords (that are atleast 20 characters and mixed numbers, letters, and caps) and change 'em as often as possible.
@txmoney I do the same with Norton and couldn't be hapier. I'm logged in to ID Safe profile, atm. I just LOVE how simple auto-fill makes everything.
If you're already running Norton Internet Security, a password manager called "Identity Safe" is included and it stores all your passwords. As you visit various websites, and enter the username/password, Identity Safe pops up and prompts you to allow it to safe the just entered info.
So far, Identity Safe works automatically with IE8/IE9 and Firefox but I have to manually open Identity Safe to work in Chrome.
@txmoney Ah, didn't know that... thanks for the info. Is that something you can copy to another machine, or share on a network if you had multiple computers?
@PCAddictsLive I believe Identity Safe protects individual computers separately. As part of a single consumer license, Norton Internet Security offers protection for three computers. Each computer running Norton will need to have the passwords saved manually thru Identity Safe. I guess thats a drawback but since the password manager is integrated within Norton Internet Security, you're not paying extra for a separate password manager.

@PCAddictsLive Thanks for the quick reply. I'll try it again and good call on backing up the db, something I should've done.

@Jarzka1990 Nah... it's complicated so that sort of makes up for it lol... I should probably change it though.

I usually just write my passwords on a post-it note and put it on the screen. That way it's safe from the evil crackers!!
