I just built a new system out of this case. Its a little small for my tastes, but it fits a 5770 fine, and thats more than enough for what I need it for. Front panel connectors are a bitch tho, lol. Its pretty friggin loud too. But, it performs well enough so far. I could be happier with cooling tho. My Phenom II X4 955 idles at around 25c-26c with a thermaltake V1, so we'll see what it does under load.
@turbotonic27 I dont consider it very noicy but friends have told me that it is. I have a GTX260 in it now and it becomes pretty noicy if I turn the fan up to 100%
I personally do not have a problem with noise though.
@TheMegaOuch that sounds pretty good. Very similar to my new build, except i have 4GB DDR3 1333, a 500GB HDD, and a Phenom II X4 955. It works well in this case.
someone as smart as you shouldnt have said save money since the economy is shit right now . if people had money to spend then it wouldnt be a recession .... meaning spend every penny
@AJsfree2toke Definitely actually I was planning something like that sometime in the future. Except mine was a little more expensive with an 800D, EVGA P55.
Oh and I might hold of on that though to wait for nVidia's GTX400's and see what those are going to be like.
I think your on your on there man, i can;t get mine to work either. I'f I need to plug in headphones i have to plug them into the back =/.
The best advice I can give you is to look for your motherboards manual or go to forums and look up your motherboard and figure out which plugs fit in which pins. its a pain but w/e, just have to live with it till we get new cases i suppose.
please do some cable management. you are screwing your airflow at the moment.
bfg psu's are awful. get a better one that is modular.
those zalmans aren't great value for money. the cooling is average to poor. get a Big Typhoon or a TRUE or a Xigmatek Dark Knight.
Braid the cables. Looks much nicer
Taking 3 hours to build a computer is way too short. Software side should be about the same. If you do proper cable management, it should take at least a day.
hi, umm, i would like to know umm, how long, umm it took to build umm, your system, because umm, i have a social life and umm, im afraid it might take up too much of my umm, time. umm yeah, umm, thats it a think, umm.
well the acrtual building to get the thing to run takes at the most, if your taking your sweet old time and taking it slow, at the most 3 hours if not less.
lol yeah I know... I've been looking for deals lately on Widescreens but i have to gear the little cash I have towards things like headsets and mouse because i need to get ready for Quakecon =P
I was gonna do video of my comp but I decided not to, cos someone might kill me for it :) I got 6gb of video in sli and 3x32inch hd. tv's. So playing c.o.d. is as real as it gets. I use 12gb ram, 3.2 extreme nehlem cpu, and i run this on Ga-EX58-UD5 mb. And cosmos case.
XP DOESN'T support dx10 and WILL NEVER support dx10. Wherever you heard that info from is clearly false. As an owner of Vista since May of this year, I've encountered little trouble with my old software I had on my older XP machine. Vista doesn't suck at games either. Early adapters of Vista in early 2007 did face issues but now it runs as well as my old XP machine, if not better.
wow thanks you saved me alot of money an time but now i think im jsut going to RAID with 7200 rpm drives since its less expensive, idk. but anyways thank you.
I would assume yes, it would be a tight squezze not for the card itself but for your dual 6-pin power connectors. but it should fit in there nicely. If its the same length as the 4850 then yes.
Yes, you might be a little cramped between the HDD tray and the card but since the 9800 GX2's 6-pin and 8-pin power connectors are on the side of the card instead of the back then you shouldn't have a problem with it. That's the only little mishap i had with the HD4850

the inside and basically the fundamentals are Aluminum but things like the Front and the top LC display are plastic.
