Has that cat always meowed like that? She looks elderly and the meow could be from an ailment. My cat did the same and it turned out he was in pain from a kidney infection. The vet said that sometimes play to distract themselves from something that is bothering them but will then let out a distressing meow. Just a thought...cute kitty.

Hey Evilbastet -- thanks for the comment. Yes -- she actually is an older cat, and she did have a kidney infection that she had to take medication for. She's all fixed up now, but still makes the same noise! She was a stray and had to fend for herself before we found her -- maybe she honed her distinctive voice out on the street! Thanks for your concern. And yes -- she is a cutie! :)

dont feed cats dried food, my cat had same problem.... now shes dead :'(

dno what she died of i rekon it was dehydration but she couldnt walk on the day to it could have been her kidneys.
