  • I'm sure we can have something like the Federation one day. I think that anyone who is a mathematician, scientist, engineer, dreamer or idealist who wants a better tomorrow should just band together (across the internet) and build their own space programme. Even if they aren't NASA grade they will have strength of numbers and being multi-nationals united by a dream for a better tomorrow they will be outside the grasp of territorial nations. I would devote my energy to such a cause if I was one.

  • @Standuble Totally agree.

  • What was the regigstry number for that enterprise.

  • we have 45 klingons on the planet watch out

  • No, its not the video is crummy looking and breaks up. LOL It is actually very very hard to find a really good video of the original intro to Enterprise. Whats up with that? :) Someone do it.

  • It is ironic that Star Trek, originally an expression of hope in the future, retreats into this tone of nostalgia. It is not really about the future. It isn't the future for the series but a kind of the past. It is epressive in some ways of a loss of hope in the future. We can no longer look w/ hope to space exploration or technology or this U.N. like orgaisation called the UFP.

  • BOOMM...thats how we roll! :D

  • i cant believe they changed this theme to another one which sounds crappy

  • This is great song.

  • I always wished there would be more futuristic space pictures in this intro, instead of so much stuff from our century in the op.

  • @charizardpal

The point of all the old pics in this opening goes with the theme of the song, that nothing can hold us back and we, as a people, can do anything we set our minds to.

  • @lurnakftw Only if we can get past our greed and volatile nature. The Vulcans are right about us in many ways.

  • I didn´t like this song at first but now I love it. It really grows on you. Thanks for posting it.

  • I think Enterprise is the 2nd best trek after TNG. I think too many of the old fans are assholes when it comes to this series and want everything to be just like Deep Snore 9.

  • @pimpdadysuperman I have to agree. They were so harsh on ENT! Deep Space nine was boring, and depressing...

  • @Rosiilee I limke all trek inc luding DS9 I don't think ENT is the best for me I'd rank Enterprise 4 out of the 5 series not that I don't like it because I like all the Star Treks

  • this is a very cool series and captain archer is way better than picard in command of the ship. The star trek series new generation suck

  • As I commented on some YouTube clips I don't like the song that was used in the Star Trek Enterprise theme. So I combined the theme with an example of music I would have liked instead. It's titled "Last Flight" and is from MegaByte. Find it in my uploads. It's titled "Star Trek Enterprise Theme With Other Music".

  • This song is very disgusting to me. Especially as an intro for a Star Trek series. It has such an abhorrent emotionality. I don't like the voice and the composition. Great that I can skip it here. But sad that they didn't find a suitable song.

  • This show was amazing until the Xindi crisis, then it went downhill.

  • Oh I love this theme!!!

  • Star Trek TNG 4 Live.............. BUT THIS SEASON IS AN INSULT! ROCK MUSIK IN THE INTRO AND HISTORICAL SCENES. ptfu.......

  • Wait this was better...there was a ton of glitches and stuff.

  • i have to agree with spartan i think you need more work on your editing skills come back when it is a better version

  • Ahh...just enjoy the freakin' show people! Look!- green skinned, super hot belly dancing babes and ray guns...AWESOME!

  • OMG I love you !

    Star Trek Enterprise <3

  • Deep & thoughtful stuff, folks. Thank you.

  • SpecterReflector , nemesis2459 and ivchyHR i think your both right

    and best series ever

  • Star Trek the next generation was the best of all the series. That show is still better than most of the crap on tv today. Something has gone wrong with entertainment as a whole, everybody wants to remake everything instead of coming up with fresh ideas

  • This is the first version. Not many people realize this, but the music was slightly changed in later seasons, adding a bit of a crescendo, giving it that "honorable" kind of feeling. Ahh who cares anyway...the show got canceled because most of the characters sucked.

  • Specter-

Our ambitions will only push us so far. Eventually, we will learn that they mean nothing in the grand scope of time. What you're seeing is our infancy in the development of our species. It is left subject, as to when we will reach our so called "adulthood" as a species. We must do away with our obsession of personal gain. We must become better than our genetic mandate. It could take thousands of years, but with time and luck; we may find that point.

  • Boss180888-

There are galaxies documented by the Hubble telescope which are so large, by our current physical theories they should not exist. The study of physical space is not absolute, most of us are just doing our best to decipher what we can at this point. Many things in the Star Trek universe could eventually be proven true, however that remains to be proven. Our grasp of the known universe is petty at best, even now we know little to nothing.

  • It's not my favorite Star Trek series, but this is by far my favorite intro.

  • it's a long time so why drink a beer

  • I do believe however that mankind will destroy itself before we reach the level of theoretical(100 years) and technological(200 years) level of superluminal travel for astronauts and robotic probes. mankind has the potential to do anything based on science, but normally does things based on money, greed, and conquest- science is not the inherently human way to do things.

  • No Specter. You are confusing technology and physics. Technology changes, improves. People invent things that were near impossible 50 years ago. Physics, math, etc is a constant. 1+1=2. It was that way since the beginning of time and will be that way until the universe ends. Again I repeat we will NEVER not in a million years perform interstellar travel due to limitations in PHYSICS. Not technology. No matte what kind of advanced engine, etc someone creates 500 years from now.

  • our limitations of understanding physics are gauged by our imaginations so who's not to say nothing can travel faster than light speed, Einstein?- he thought space was static untill told otherwise, but the cosmological constant was later proven to be correct, not wrong just subtle in effect. what we know now is by no means absolute, physics itself is not embedded in the universe, we just percieve it as so for convenience.

  • Don't mean to bust all of your bubbles folks, but as much as it is fun to imagine, we will never be able to travel to other star systems. Interstellar travel is impossible. Not in 200 years. Not in 2000 or 20,000 years. NASA stated that we will never travel beyond our solar system and I am inclined to believe this. The limitation is not technology. The limitation is physics. Matter can NOT travel at or faster than the speed of light. This is a physical impossibility. Not a technological one.

  • Every Intelligent person knew it was impossible, everyone except the fool who managed to do it. no one would have imagined relativity 70 years after Newton wrote down the laws of gravitation which we now refer to as classical and quaint. give science a chance. I have more faith in the progress of science than in the scientific ''facts'' themselves. facts are just human interpretation of the universe, wrote down for convienience so we don't all have to come to the conclusions independantly.

  • @rudolphg76 conventions(physics) are known to be wrong and to change over time!!! i'm no expert in physics and i'm pretty sure einstein did some pretty elaborate work to support his conclusions but they are unproven yet in pratics!!!! your confusing physics(science, therefore a convention to explain reality) with reality itself... science doesn't make reality it studies it and the fact someone in the thirties and fourthies concluded something is impossible doesn't necessarily mean it's so!!!

  • not a classic ST intro but i like it a lot, very motivational :)

  • paradox! everything explodes!

  • My mind just exploded. o_O

  • Is this for real?? How embarassing!

  • "Way to ruin the series Bakula"

    -George Takei

  • Right, because Bakula created the concept, the scripts and the characters of Enterprise.

  • @CynicalVision I'll expand that a little more...

-George Takei (guest starring in Futurama)

  • Oh my god this has got to be the worst Star Trek Intro ever. It's not instrumental and it's going to be frowned upon for decades.

  • @lazypuffstone its my fafourite you stupid, if you don't like it, don't watch it.

  • What's the name of this song? Who sing it?

  • Faith of the Heart

  • vidim ima hrvata ovdje...

i ja bi volio da sam se rodio 200godina unaprijed jer znam da bi covjecanstvo uradilo nesto veliko, nesto na sto bi se mogli ponositi :)

  • oh and, yeah, i am kinda sad because im not born about 100 years in the future.... =(.... because i think that we are civilized enough to do something like this....

  • Sadly, we aren't. Yet. Just look at the petty bickering on this page. Someday we'll learn to love each other; or else there won't be a "someday."

  • i like star trek enterprise because that's the only serie that is really possible in real life for about 100-200 years... =)

  • @IvchyHR Someday, someday we can to travel to stars... remember many of our technology was inspirated in star trek ideas...

  • @IvchyHR Ehh, the concept of faster then light travel (warp) is dodgey though.

  • @IvchyHR

I agree with you, I'm a big fan of Star Trek, but Star Trek: Enterpsie, is the most realistic of the series

  • It is great how Enterprise reminds us all that all human exploration and discovery from the 18th century onwards was entirely the result of Americans and no other country made on contribution whatsoever of any kind.

When the creators of a series are that stupid, is it any surprise this trash got canceled?

  • Let me get this straight: You're complaining because an _American_ tv show about _space exploration_ has a theme which emphasizes _American_ achievements in _space exploration_? Get over yourself.

I'll bet if it was a British show emphasizing British achievement you wouldn't have any problem, but since it's Americans then it's obviously just Yank arrogance.

  • La serie no era tan mala, solo que a veces parecia mas un anuncio del partido republicano.

en fin, espero algun dia ver una mejor serie con el verdadero espiritu de Star Trek y sin tanta propaganda republicana barata....

  • Well no commentary to this Vid BUT: I just finished watching episode "Divergence". Paramount ows us 3 Season of a great series - and a movie undone by writers and a director who knows nothing of Star Trek. Man, i am sad!

  • THe Name of the Ship at 1:04 is "Phoenix" build by Zefram Cochrane. It was the first Warpship in Human history launched at 2063. The Ship goes to Warp at 5 April with help from Jean Luc Picard and His Crew (Watch "Star Trek: The First Contact"). After that, the people of Vulcan saw the Warpdrive of thePhoenix and made Contact with the Humans.

  • what song is used?

  • Faith of the heart.

  • What's the name of the ship at 1:04?

  • better my ass...original kicks ass

  • Yeah when they remixed it it sounded poor

  • And how exactly is this better and improved...i dont see any diffrence from the original...

  • Excellent Version. Very good - how to produce films!?!

    Greetings from Germany

  • True that

  • I like this it sounds good to me .. you did a good job

  • Y O U did a better version ?? LOL if at all (because there is no difference) who judged it for you ? Continue dreaming, you moron. or do you happen to be Q ??

    ROFLMAO

  • This is the same as the original, there is absolutely no difference. If there is, then what is it?

  • Wait...Rod Stewart sings this too? So this isn't an original.

  • Personally, I like the new or more acoustic with strings version heard beginning in Season 3. That said, I enjoy acoustic new age music and that's my preference of all the genres I listen to. I think the montage of all the ships named Enterprise and NASA speaks to how powerful 70 seconds can resonate with all of us whether you like the intro or you don't. I admire the guts whoever came up with this and ran it and the song, I'm not going to get caught up in semantics; I love the lyrics.

  • When my brother and I first heard this, we wanted to hold up lighters! I love this version compared to the later version.

  • love this song.

  • To all fans of Star Trek ....

    Enjoy <3

  • The song is fine on its own as well as the video but the problem trekkies have with it is that it doesn't go with the flow of the atmosphere of Star Trek.

  • I can agree it doesn't fit with the previous series but for this serie it's absolutely perfect.

  • The song is good, it does fit the show, but Rod Stewart's version is far far superior to Russell Watson's version.

  • i actually prefer this, showing all the history of enterprise, good song too.

  • Regardless of the wave of protesting Trekies. Who have challenged the selection of this song. Several thousand cloned signitures no doubt. All the same I loved it and it was the perfect one for the show intro. Clearly one of the better selections ever made for a Star Trek Soundtrack. I gives the feeling of the fueture hope we all have in the space program and our next generations to come.

  • No Star Trek needs a better soundtrack, hmmm how about Crystal Castles XXCUZMEXX lol kidding this is good

  • I am sorry but I have this song glued into my mind. I have a headache. Maybe, that's why?

No, it can't be, this song can give no one a headache.

  • What language are you speaking??? Jesus! Learn to type. And go see the movie for yourself. Don't watch it on the net. Not only are you watching it out of its intended context, you're breaking the law. Until then, practice your English.

  • I love this intro!

    The song ist very good.

  • any1 think they'll make a movie based on this series??? i love this series. captain archer is my fav cap'n. but the new trek film might make me change my mind, lol.

  • i saw the new Star Trek and it was good but i still like cap. Archer

  • yeah, me too. but new movie was a REALLY GOOD movie, probebly the best STAR TREK i've seen. or second, i don't know, lol. it's hard to pick a fav STAR TREK movie.

  • this song reminds me of spongebob when he sings at the football stadium...jk jk jk!!!

  • what ship is on screen at 1:11 ? I've always wondered what it was but could never find any information about it.

  • that's the first enterprise!!! jesus!!!

  • No I want to know about the ship featured in between the Phoenix and the NX-01 Enterprise

  • i think that's the probe enterprise. the ship the federation used to see how far the enterprise could go. aparently it went far. lol

  • No its the new nasa prototype

  • The little white ship will be some kind of rescueshuttle for the ISS. Its a NASA (or ESA?) project.

  • just awesome :D the show, the song, awesome.

  • Hey Chauncy666 it's Alan Shepperd

  • loooool onli watched the start 4 the song looool

  • who is that astronaut @ 0:41 ???

  • Buzz Aldrin

  • lol thats not buzz....

  • It's Neil Armstrong if I'm not mistaking...

  • lol no its alan shepardxD

  • k its alan shepard already figured that out myselfxD

  • I think this was the evolution of Star Trek, but nobody understand it...(sorry for my english..)

Creo que esto fue la evolucion de Star Trek, pero nadie la entendio..

  • Its all the ships and stuff that were the first of their kind and paved the way for exploration throughout the years.....

    They were all called Enterprise.

  • their is nothing wrong with this intro, it shows how we got warp drive and the stugle to get it... enterprise was fantastic trek alot better then Voyager or DS9!! season 3 was the best ever trek it would still be going if every norrow minded trek fan to concerned with the intro to bother watching it.... in my mind their not true trekies a true trekie should keep in mind thats change and thats all trek is, its a "Change" a its about what can we do to make it better! and stuff

  • interesting enough, i wasn't talking about the visual history of the intro

  • i know but the song goes with the visual history, i see where ur commin from but im sorry to me this was good, when you see past the intro

  • this is by far the best trek show, it has the coolest characters, best action, and not as silly and crappy made as most tng, ds9, voy episodes.

If your not a hard core trekkie, how looks at every detail an cant live with some flaws in a show, your just sad and poor.

But its a matter of personal opinion, tng and s9 had some of the best ideas.

It just was made silly and boring.

  • I agree with you!

  • i dont know what everyone problem is with enterprise it was actually good

not as good as tos or tng but still good

  • the main problem is that it wasnt canon. In fact, they didnt try to stay true to it until the last season. a few points: in TNG picard made it clear that humans made first contact with klingons before they were readya dn it started a war, Also, earth fought a war with the romulans before joinging the federation.

  • Yeah, if the Series were continued they clearly had to use the Romulan War in season 5 or 6... and the Last Episode "These Are the Voyages..." is more or less a time jump, 10 years after the Launch of the Enterprise obviously after the War...

  • Well they did do that whole Temporal Cold War crap which I hated. Yea one of the main reasons why I didn't like it was because they just ignored so much canon. I really don't even consider the show canon.

  • I have to agree with you on that one. When they had the whole war against the future assisted aliens, it felt like it was Voyager all over again.

  • There's plenty of plot holes in the other series as well though.

  • Dis Intro is mad ill

  • what?

  • who sings this?

  • Watson Russell - Faith Of The Heart

  • It's actually "Where My Heart Will Take Me" but it goes both ways.

  • yeah this one is definitely the better version.

  • It was a different Star Trek, although I have not seen much of the original series. The idea, I imagine, was to show beginnings, but with 90s production technology compared to that from the original series, it was going to be a stretch.

The world is this series is not "perfect", unlike the others. It has promise, and that's the point.

  • I know that this will piss a lot of you ENT fans off but I am a kirk fan always have been always will next i would say DS9 then TNG then VOY but ENT,im sorry it was just bad it had nothing new. TOS had Spock, TNG had Data, DS9 had Odo, VOY had the EMH. Hell event the ship was a ripoff of the Akria Class it just showed that the producers were willing to cut corners to make the show flashy while leaving out originality and just doing everything half ass im sorry if you hate me but its how i c it.

  • love that song!!!

i think enterprise is the best out of all the star treks, and then i like voyager second best!

    ;-)

  • This series wasn't bad. Producers gave up on it.

  • they gave up on it?

    really?

  • yeah ='[ me and my dad used to watch it all the time every wednesday...then it ended...we were so pissed

  • UPN gave up on it, the producers didn't. The stories got better... but by then, all the viewers left... and what might have been the best Trek ever, vanished right when it was getting good. Most trekkers created their own vision of how the Trek universe should work and Enterprise didn't fit their ideas... even though Enterprise never really went against canon then any of the previous series, people just had closed minds of the series from the start.

  • "people just had closed minds of the series from the start. " That's what happens when you make the past look more advanced than the future.

  • Oh, but how else were they going to depict the past of Star Trek, dear sir, and make it look convincing to modern viewers? That, BTW, is the same problem facing the maker of the new, 'hip' movie coming out this year, and to deal with it, they had to make the classic Enterprise just like....well, the TV show Enterprise (except with the touch-panels of TNG in this movie!) Amazing how things come full circle, huh?

  • easy, leave the past alone if you are worried about it at all. Any trekkie will tell you that it is a paralell universe that doesnt match our own. In star trek, people didnt have transistors in the 1990's. Shatner said in an interview featured on the special features that star trek died with gene roddenbury. I'm starting to agree. They managed to keep it going for 10 years on fumes, but what they are doing now shows m they are not only out of gas, they don't even know how to fill the tank.

  • joness is exactly right. Enterprise was not, and will never be considered official Star Trek. It was poorly written, and I don't just mean the canonical errors, more importantly it's dramatic and moral structure were absolutely horrible. They tried to make it more adult by upping the amount of sex, which actually made it seem more adolescent. They tried to make Archer and the NX-01 a Forrest Gump, responsible for everything we know in TOS. They failed horribly with Enterprise.

  • Right because supposidly sex sells, and the type of TV on today has changed with the culture. One feeds off of the other and now "Trek" is caught with trying to promote an optomistic modernist humanist vision of the future to a largly cynical postmodern audience used to gratuitous sex rather than intelectual stimulation. At this rate the next series will be Star Trek: 90210

  • Word. Exactly my thoughts, but unfortunately, people like us are in the minority.

  • WOW, really inspirational for the future of human interstellar space rtavel, maybe one say we really will get to the stars, and conquer SPACE, THE FINAL FRONTIER, I have faith in humanity.

  • really like this theme

  • It was the 2nd ST theme with lyrics, and hopefully the last. "2nd?" you ask. Yes, the original series theme HAD lyrics, even though you never heard them in the opening of the show. They are as follows Beyond The rim of the star light My Love Is wand'ring in Star Light I Know he'll find in star clustered reaches love strange love a star woman teaches his journey ends never his star trek will go on forever but tell him while he wanders his starry sea remember, remember me.
  • The original Star Trek theme lyrics were written by Roddenberry so he'd get royalty money from the theme. The composer refused to work with him again, if I remember correctly.

  • Lol, Roddenberry was a cheeky bastard . . .Genius!

  • each of ST series has its own moments. i love em all. especially enterprise and ds9. didn't like kirk that much, though.

  • Best Star Trek series is Next Generation, followed by the original series. But DS9? So boring, they don't explore anything. Its like their tending a gas station.

  • First of ST that i remember is VOY. I think i first saw that.. But after i saw all ST i found out that i love TNG and TOS. And because of the start thing also VOY. DS9 is good too. Mostly because of Worf and O'Brien. And the whole thing with dominion was something that get absolutely new side of view on ST. Secret organizations in Star Fleet, corruption, more Ferengi.. Well i guess that except the ENT (first season was good) i like all ST series.

  • If you really listen to the words of the song, it's as if the Humans are telling the Vulcans "We can do it". The Vulcans were kind of trying to hold the Humans bak, in the first season of Enterprise (the series for which this song is sung) because they thought we needed to be more advanced to go and eplore the universe. So next time you lissten to this song, really listen to the lyrics.

    By the way: 5/5 stars!!!

  • when i listen to the lyrics i get the sense of humans as a whole and how we love exploring

  • Are you fuckin retarded.

  • Hopefully one day..

  • who is the artist of this song and what is its title

  • Faith in/of the Heart is the title. Not sure if its "in" or "of".

    Not sure about artist

  • "Where my Heart Will Take Me, by Russell Watson. :-)

  • I'm no couch potato lol but i do enjoy my free time.

  • what can i say its startrek. hoever bragga and berman killed the show it didnt get better untill more took it over. and got back into exploration. iwont see the new movie eaither. they keep changing the history of starfleet. i dont mind th emovies but do something original bring in the original or if you want the original do it before kirk took over put pike and crew on the ship or even april

  • Xyliex i just noticed you got 2 videos in 2 years I hope for the sake of human kind you just give up and dont have children, your really gonna fuck up the gene pool if you bread ok, so just cut your balls off now and safe humanity a huge fucking blow out later on, thanks. PS please dont post anything video wise again unless your an alien. Pleasure commenting on you

  • looks like you got a blox pixel fader plugin from piratebay and went nuts, it looks bloody awfull, if can time travel go back to the 1981 and you can probly get a job as a runner for top of the pops

  • It seems like most americans today are couch potatoes raising tater tots, not teaching them to reach for the stars.

  • well the rich/privileged kids are getting all the advantages... the rest have to hope they have mentors who will push them to take advantage of the opportunities available instead of munching on cheetohs all day.

  • aside from there being little change, the video is all static and skipping, the transition between clips isn't very good ether, all in all I don't think this is a better video than the original intro.

  • This is fucking UGLY. Stretched, static AND music skipping!
