  • Altiyan rocks-he's the kindest, caring, most down-to-earth guy I've ever met-I love him so much <3 <3

  • HE WON :)

    love you Altiyan

  • I just downloaded & listened to Altiyans album released today, I didn't realise it was a studio recording? should have been the live performances, sadly it lacks the passion & emotion of the live shows with the audience enthusiasm, participation & love for him, still sounds good, well done AC, however it's just a cover album, so why bother? I have U2, Bon Jovi, INXS, Kings of Leon, Train, etc etc, anyway, just thinking out loud, I look forward to an "original" album in 2011 :)

  • ARIA charts released today ... Altiyan's single at No. 8 ... 15,000 units sold ... considering the show pulled approx. 1 million viewers each week that's around 1.5% of viewers have put their money where their mouth is ... SONY BMG would have expected a No 1 ... OUCH!! No doubt our Altiyan is a talent but don't forget people this is a cut throat business & the bottom line is return on investment ... getting a feeling this show won't happen next year (30 million dollar production for Seven)

  • @destiny6666 How many times and places must you post this to get attention? What did you want people to say? You are right and they are wrong? 35,000 sales = Gold. 70,000 sales = platinum. 15,000 sales is not bad for a debut. This would be enough to buy him a 'good dinner' and a 'new bed' for his father.

In his own words he has enough material to do 10 albums. That is around 100 songs. With the right management and promotion he can stay the distance. That is all that matters..

  • @omegaman369 - freedom of speech sunshine, there is no right or wrong, just opinion :)

  • @destiny6666 I think its called spamming.

  • @omegaman369 - ouch, Somewhere in the World No. 20 on iTunes, get out your spare change sunshine, this must be killing you, hehehehehehehe

  • @destiny6666 Not at all. He won the show. He has brought happiness to many people. More people know if him now than ever before. He has enough to buy a good dinner and a new bed for his father. That is my measure of his success moonshine.

The rest that comes his way is a bonus. Icing on the cake.

  • @omegaman369 - that's the funny thing, you really don't know him at all and your literary skills are deplorable :) ps: he and his father are not homeless you dick!

  • @destiny6666 Sorry to offend your sensibilities if my typing skills are not up to your speed.

I suppose you know him much better?

We are debating his talents and how to measure his success, not whether or not he and his father are impoverished. Comments on how to spend the proceeds from sales of the single - buying a good dinner and a new bed for his father - come from Altiyan.

  • @omegaman369 - I liked Altiyan from day 1, the underdog, if you look back at the early parts of this show, his performances, like it or not, were not good enough to get him through, the show was obviously thin on talent, so by getting this loopy out there character thru set the show up for some drama. "Awol Caveman", "Unwell father" got media coverage, in the end, all I have seen is a great cover singer, performing songs we all know and love, that is my point he is not yet a proven talent :)

  • @destiny6666 I agree with most of what you say. Definitely the station dramatised it a great deal. All you have to look at is how the judges were introduced, as if the show was a boxing match.

I disagree that Altiyan is 'not yet proven talent'. He has talent and he has proven it. The only part that is doubtful is how far it will take him; whether he will become a superstar. I don't know the answer to that, but I wish him all the best and I do hope he makes it internationally.

  • @omegaman369 - it would be great if he could carve out a career doing what he loves ... it's a tough industry & only the top tier survive ... once the hype & the emotion of the show has waned it will be interesting & exciting to see how it all pans out ... perhaps the planets have aligned for him perfectly this time? perhaps it was not meant to be? no one really knows ... I reckon in 12 months from now we should have a clearer outlook on "The Altiyan Childs Story" :)

  • @destiny6666 ummmm all the contestants were doing covers on the x factor??? so if ur calling him a cover artist its a bit far fetch?? just saying not to be rude...

  • @leeni31 - well that's the point, they are ALL just cover singers performing classic songs we all know & love, to make it in the industry takes originality & creativity, especially off the back of a reality competition like X-Factor, to gain respect that is, once the hype of the show blows over will Altiyan Childs have what it takes? Of course the die hard fan will say yes, I say give him a chance to create a new original album, then we can understand & appreciate exactly who he is :)

  • woo hoo Altiyan in final three!! well done!! xx

  • You can see how the song controls what he does. In each song the moves and style of delivery changes according to the emotional connection he makes with the song. This is a perfect example. The U2 Beautiful Day version is another.

    He is very good.

  • Everyone deserves a 2nd chance

  • Imagine if they let this guy go.. X factor would had been shit in Australia..

  • how kind and generous is ronan

  • altiyan needs the support from his fans in aus to get him through vote for him to win.

  • Just saw another comment saying that he is on Methadone for his heroin addiction, not great xfactor, supporting a junkie does'nt send the best message.

  • @candypoppa

Junkies do not drive fork lift trucks. Neither do they rush around a stage powered by the true spirit of rock and roll.

  • you have come such a long way altiyan just hang in there, i hope all aussies vote for you

  • i agree his version is great, all his song versions are terrific, i so hope he wins.

  • Melissa Etheridge ..LIke the way I do.

  • Does anyone know the name of the song that he is singing? Who recorded it first?

Altiyan does a good version of the original.

  • GO ALTIYAN love your work xx

  • He does not have to win the competition to be successful. He has already done it judging by the overwhelmingly positive feedback he is getting.

He does not think he is a rock star. The judge said it. Running out and jumping was his way of channelling positive energy to get over the fear and stress of being judged.

Using derogatory names shows how low some people go to give an air of their superiority over others. The truth be known they could probably not sing one note in key.

  • @candypoppa your mum smokes pot. GO ALTIYAN

  • @pigsIop This is funny kooking back to 1 month ago - yes HE DID WIN. You have a wonderful way with words by the way. simple

  • THE LOVE CHILD OF ALICE COOPER AND CAPTAIN JACK SPARROW..

  • That's in the past ... get over it pigslop ... He's a WINNER to me already!
