I was able to get my '09 Elantra to go a max speed of 122-123 mph which is about 198kmh. I was "racing" a Mazdaspeed 6 and Mercedes C-class. I passed them once but didn't fall far behind them. I stayed right along with them. My car's governor kicked in about 122mph. I still had about 750rpm's left to go before the red line.
