my mare goes best in a hanging cheek french link and we have gone "Micklem" as it is less hard on her face. But how do you suggest we fit the hanging cheek doctor bristol?

Looks a good bridle to me. You didn't tell us you can ride without reins on the bit but connected at the bridle and that you can lunge with the cavessonsystem......
