What it boils down to is that VIACOM wants their own web content delivery services to work. By pressuring Youtube, they can get free demographics on how to better exploit the web to take more of those "theoretical dollars"

When all is said or done, there will be no YOU in Youtube anymore. It's going to be partner and corporate content.

Copyright was never intended to give, Viacom or any other company an exclusive control over content. It is called Fair Usage Law. Copyright is intended to protect their Profit not the usage of the content. And here is the real issue.

Well, Copyright Protection is not a Constitutional Right. But Illegal Search and Seizure, is a violation of the law, so I think the best thing to do would be to file a multibillion dollar law suit against Viacom and everyone of their subsidiary companies for illegal violation of privacy as a class action. if you have a notion that they are abusing Constitutional Law.
