Just looked up puggle at Wikipedia and it seems that puggles are of mixed breeds, so the parents of an original puggle would've been of two different breeds.

Some puggles may have more pug traits, and some more beagle traits. Also, color may vary. Mine is darker than this dog. GREAT dogs to own. I love my puggle.
