I must admit even though her voice isn't what it was many years ago, it's really cool to hear her come up with such interesting material. Hi, you are correct, I got the names mixed a little. Her ex husband and drummer was Budgie and the band's co-composer and bassist was Steve Severin. Siouxsie released a book about 2/3 years ago. You can tell at the end that things were going well at all with Steve. It takes a lot of flexibility for strong minded individuals to continue working together and produce good material. After many years together, her relations with Steve just went sour. I recommend the book for all fans of the group.

The song is probably directed at her former drummer who was also her husband for many years (they divorced not all that long ago). She might also be aiming at her old bandmate Budgie with whom she co-wrote most of the old material. He's no longer part of the band which is why she cannot use the "Banshees" term. The song is very well written and the music accompanying the lyrics is also extremely fresh. Got to love these love quarels as they feed the artists and result in great songs.

I'm amazed. I've been a Siouxsie fan for over 30 years and thought she was done. However, there she goes and reappears with an amazingly strong album.
